Hurrah! My LGBT family passed our first test with flying colours

My wife and I should get the first star on our parenting sticker chart for successfully taking our 10-week-old daughter on her inaugural flight, to visit the grandparents in France. Travelling as same-sex parents with such a tiny baby, we perhaps unnecessarily feel an extra pressure to be highly competent mums.

BRENNA Harding won’t get married until her two mothers can legally tie the knot.

“BRENNA Harding won’t get married until her two mothers can legally tie the knot.The Logie-winning actor, who was raised by same-sex parents and became an avid campaigner for LGBT rights, revealed the marriage pact in the October diversity issue of Cosmopolitan, which hits stands today.The cover of the October issue of Cosmopolitan.

“I think that same-sex marriage is likely to be legalised before I have children, hopefully,” said Harding, 21, who recently filmed an episode of hit Netflix series Black Mirror directed by Jodie Foster.“I made a little pact that I wouldn’t get married until my mothers could, so I’m hoping that that happens.”

"When a child is sitting there saying these are my mums and I love them, someone is much more likely to listen.”
