pt. 4 of oc world Rodasellokx
(I've decided that the universe is called Rodasellokx! so part 4 of Rodasellokx)
(sorry this took me so long! almost 2 months T_T )
Now its the pirate crew!! i rlly love these guys so im excited for this part
so to start off, theres a pirate ship. obviously. And there is the captain of this ship, she really loves her life, its super cool, she gest to be on a ship w a ton of friends and be free and stuff, idk whatever. There is a curse on her though. what curse? well i dont know completely yet. I know that it makes it so to join the pirate crew something has to both help and hurt. i think whoever cursed her wasnt the best at it thoygh, because that leaves a lot of room for loopholes. doesnt specify who, doesnt specify how, but if they cant justify that they did something like that to join the crew, then they die like a terrible death or sm or get hurt idk. but most people find a way around that! and ive got a list of some of the crew people bc i think theyre funny! theres probably more but still:
a bat girl/vampire with VERY good hearing and a habit of eavesdropping
selkies
shark hybrid girl that gets these long scars on her arms but like horizontal and she gets everyone to start calling her tiger shark
swan maidens or whatever they are
twins named Alba and Quierk Eei
a plant elf with EVERY POSSIBLE piercing and an insane amount of jewelry*
thuneseen
Lanndnoe (eventually)
a campanim who doesnt believe in the ocean
more shapeshifters and things
someone reallyyyy wants to be the navigator but is absolute crap at it
the best doctor on the ship is terrified of blood (tehy often have to have a spell put on them so they cant see it or just direct what the other 2 doctors of what to do)
one of them talks so every live animal like theyre part of the crew
every once in a while the lookout calls out randon things they see that arent there
someone thinks that if they wear a disguise they can fix problems (ex: theres a storm coming? the fake mustache will help!
and finally the quetrakos captain

The elf* has a fun worldbuilding thing tho!
So theyre a plant elf from a specific area, and that tribe/country/whatever was at war with another group of elves, a mix of stone and water and cave hybrid elves or sm. The rock elves are big on change, they want to make sure that the life for the newer generation is as good as it can be. The plant elves however, are the exact opposite, the way they see it is they're so much better than the water elves, so they need to be the opposite of them too. changes aren't allowed, there's no progression in technology, science, anything. they also don't like water, which is a problem since they're plant elves. and like plants need water. but they kinda get around this somehow. and changing the body is taboo as well. no one has piercings of any sort, no one has scars, and most medical practices are banned too, since they involve scars and changing the body a bit. the only people allowed to get scars are those who fought in the war and got scars that way, but even then they're expected to cover themselves up to hide the scars. most of the country is kinda brainwashed to believe that this is all good and normal and stuff. Then comes MC plant elf. I'm gonna call them Calix for now, solely because its shorter than "MC plant elf". So, calix gets an illness, idk exactly what it is, but its killing them. I'm pretty sure it started on their ear and is spreading downwards. and they understand this, but the procedure to get it out would leave a small scar, so they are just gonna Die. Then they get amnesia from something. they wake up again, not understanding much, but they hear about the No Changes rule and thing that it is Bullcrap. and they're kinda vocal about it. people are getting mad at them for saying this stuff, they're going down a road that'll get them disowned from their family, and they are just so mad. They can live! it would be easy! but no one will help them because they would get a tiny scar!
stuff keeps happening, people are getting madder, and then the pirates attack. the plant elf population is terrified, and they cant fight back because they would get hurt. Calix is standing there, in the middle of this chaos, there is fire around them, people screaming, broken glass and homes and lives, and they realize that they want this. they want to actually LIVE and do things, instead of being stuck in this stupid town of repetitive and safe torture. Calix finds the nearest pirate and explains that they want to join the crew. the pirate is oddly ok with it, but says that they have to do something to join. The captain has a curse on her that If someone wants to join the crew, it must both hurt and help. "well that's vague," calix says, "what's that even mean?" "up to interpretation" responds the pirate, grinning "if you can justify it, you can join us! hurry though, we're almost done here"
Calix knows the "help" part, joining the crew would help them explore life, have fun, just really live. the "hurt" part is a bit harder, but then they decide that, if they wanted to live on a ship, they should be in full health. and if its the stupid ear disease that would stop it? then the ear should go, painfully. they cut off their ear, stopping the disease, but it doesn't feel like enough. this place was horrible to Calix, they want revenge. they're close to the safe house that the king/leader/dictator would have been brought to during the raid, they go and find it. Calix is easily able to get there, threatening people with a knife while bloody and cut up is a good motivator when people don't want to turn out like Calix. They make it to where the king guy is, and just go nuts. all the pent up rage from being told to be quiet, to just accept death, to be Normal comes rushing out, they don't kill him, that would be a kindness, but they do leave huge gashes everywhere on him. they cut of his matching ear and blind an eye on the other side, knowing that when this is all over, he either has to cover up his entire selfie, become a hypocrite, or lessen the bans. Calix is mad. Maybe they'll regret this later, but they're glad they did it right now.
they make their way back to the ship, and the pirate they already met recognizes them and lets them on board. after getting checked out and stuff, they are allowed to stay. Calix ends up manning the cannons a not, being deaf on one side turned out to be pretty helpful for them. they start really feeling at home on the ship, happier than they've ever been. they learn what piercings and tattoos are, and immediately start getting all of them. they want to change their body so much and theyre having so much fun with it. Its incredibly freeing for them, and they cherish every scar, piercing, and wound that they get. they have like every piercing possible, to the point that it seems excessive, but they don't care. they don't get a ton of tattoos, decide that it's just not for them, but they have a few. anyways, yeah! Plant elf!
oh also the water cave eves wore lots of jewelry, so that was also banned for the plant elves, so Calix wears All The Jewelry they can find/steal. :)
idk I dont have a super fleshed out plot for this story, I'm kinda thinking of like Lanndnoe is about to join the crew, when something happens and he gets thrown into the duplicated earth, and then its him and whoever he finds trying to get back, and then its the captain, Thuneseen, and like 2 other people trying to get him back. idk, its not super developed, but still.
ummmmmm, ok I'm just gonna keep going in this bc I feel like it, also whats everyone's favorite animals? :)
So, here's another world the working name is The world of places that don't exist. Twoptde. yeah sure. and most languages have their own form of this sentence for it, because what else can you even call it? So this is a world, but no one knows how to get there specifically. There are ways to get there, but they're all discovered by accident, and it just. doesn't exist. The land here is always changing, and land overlaps and shifts and morphs and it is all incredibly impossible. This is where the cryptid reality is in GMG, this is where T went when he was a kid, this is where the fae are from, and the only constant about this place is that it is hostile. almost everything that lives there is hostile, and the place will try to kill you if you stay too long. I don't know how to describe it exactly, but a lot of it is that you cant understand it. these places don't exist, but you can get there and live there and come back if you're lucky. It is a 100% of a million different places at the exact same time. sometimes you don't need to even do anything to get there and its terrifying and scary and awesome in the incomprehensible way. its really a world of places that don't exist.

So, now I think I'll do T's story.
(hes the one with the scar over his eye)
When he was younger, he moved to a new (small) town. this place seemed great! new people, new school and things, it was super cool. and the people here are super nice, and there are cool things to do here! there are lots of corn mazes, and arcades, and there are stray cats everywhere, and amazing restraunts and cool forests to hang out in and it's just so awesome. And then they (T and his sister) start to realize that these people are acting a bit weird? but they probably just don't get many newcomers. one night, T and his older sister sneak out to go look at something. and they manage to see some of the houses and everyone's bedrooms are empty! they weren't intentionally looking at first, just saw an empty bed out of the corner of their eyes, but then they realized that almost everyone was gone. something else happens that night, something involving cornfields/full moon/cats/sm else idk, and they immediately wake up in their beds, which is weird because they weren't dreaming beforehand. anyways, that night, they go to bed, and wake up somewhere else.
this place is scary, and quiet. this is a foresty area, and there its just so quiet. T tries to scream, break things, everything, but its still quiet. Not even just quiet, its entirely silent. the forest has no sound, and you can talk, yell, kick things, punch stuff, there's no noise at all. no vocal sounds, no sounds of 2 objects hitting. You could be as loud as you want, you wont hear anything.
but they will.
Every, horrible, disgusting creature in this place could hear you.
Every animal in this place is Wrong. Legs are too long, animals are huge, they are rotting and dying and remaining and terrifying and just Wrong.
and see, while they can hear everything in this place (within reason, its not superhearing, there's just nothing else to block out noise, so as long as they're close enough then they can hear you), they are completely blind and (lack of the smell sense). but somewhere in their minds, they understand that the people have eyes that can see. and they want these eyes. unfortunately though, the creatures don't have opposable thumbs. just long, razor sharp claws that can crush skulls without even trying.
they both wake up in the morning, and think its weird, but whatever. they have a normal day and things, but then when they go back to sleep again they go back to the same place! and it's so strange.
anyways, T sees one of these animals attack another once, (he was being very quiet so they didn't hear him, just a habit) and knew to kinda avoid them. he eventually finds his sister and parents,and they stay together. the 4 of them eventually find the rest of the townspeople in this place too, which is why none of them had been in their beds that one night. Most of the townspeople were in a sort of safehouse, and T's family asked to join it, but they were denied. apparently, you had to survive on your own for a while to prove that you wouldn't just be dead weight. you died in real life if you died in here, so I had to be careful. and there was no way to stop coming here at night, you had to deal with this for the rest of your life. it was difficult, but everyone got breaks from this place during the day, (where everyone pretended nothing was happening) so T's family decided to try so they could stay at the safehouse eventually.
They were surviving for a good while! the time was almost over, and they were VERY ready to at least have more people to be around, even if there were no noises. And then, something happened. T, or his sister, or whoever got hurt and yelled just out of instinct, and one of the creatures heard them, what would have been a cat, and it started charging. T's family ran away as fast as they could, but this was much faster. it got his parents, and then his sister. T managed to back up very far into a narrow cave, one that was too small for this huge mutated cat to reach him in. it clawed his face and one of his eyes just a bit, the one that he is now blind in, but he lived. but he stopped waking up in the real world. he met the rest of the townspeople at the safehouse, and they were still waking up each morning, doing things, and then returning at night (involuntarily. just wanna make that clear.) They couldnt explain why it was happening, and also didn't let him in seeing he (as they put it) got everyone else killed. he hated this, but didn't have anything else to do. you cant sleep in this place, don't need to eat, though there's nothing to eat, you cant even talk to yourself. he waked for a long time, just doing nothing.
eventually, he meets another guy there who was also stuck. they communicated through sign language and written notes and stuff, (so did everyone but still) and this guy finds a way out! the 2 of them are finally free. T never goes back, even when he sleeps, it turns out you just need to leave while in Twoptde. This guy and T stick together for a little while, before the guy leaves. he was looking for his family, and they always knew it would end. By now, T has turned into a vigilante of sorts, and is sufficient enough on his own, that he is ok to be on his own. He has severe ailurophobia, and can be weird with silences, but he's mostly ok.
Anyways, This Guy comes back in another story, he's also important, but there are already like 2650 words here so im gonna end this and start another one. sorry this was so late, but its finally here! and I think I'm close to being done! I'll probably design a whole new story in some time lol but hey whatever XD
