I don’t really think about tropes. Yes, there are patterns and ideas that are always repeated, but I don’t write with any specific “trope” in mind. It’s all been written before, so what’s really new and true? But if I HAD to pick one, it’d be and the lived happily ever after. A story is not fun without trouble and angst.
