Summary: Ty comes to pick you up for a birthday dinner after your ballet practice, and is left in awe of you.
A/N: for you @midearthwritings on your birthday 💗
Ty was in a trance, never feeling more captivated by anything before, watching you flit elegantly around the worn, wood dance floor beneath your silk pointe shoes. You were fluid and graceful, the smooth motions of your arms and legs enchanting him. He’d never seen anything more beautiful, your form striking, yet stunning, the effect your dance had and the way you were lost in yourself and in the music making his eyes well.
He loved you, he’d always known that, but seeing you now; free and unbound, your dreams coming true before his very eyes, he knew it to be the truest form of love that existed.
As you finished your dance and the music slowed to a stop, he walked across the room; the pull toward you involuntary and instinctive, his hands instantly finding purchase on your waist that moved as your ribs expanded in each sucking breath.
“You’re perfect,” he said, breathlessly. “Like a dream. Watching you is just- I don’t know how to begin to describe it!” He could feel his face flush, the rose showing through like all the times he’d been embarrassed before even despite his impenetrable cold, trying to strangle his feelings down before he said something too soon that would make you bolt, but he was unable to stop it now.
“Stop!” You giggled, pressing your hand on his chest that held a full heart you could feel pulsing against your palm. “I’m not any good, and I believe I told you not to come watch me!” you scolded, tilting your head at him in a playful way. He was meant to pick you up for dinner after you finished practice, yet here he was again, always early, sneaking in to admire you when you weren’t looking.
“No, but you are! You don’t realize the effect you have on people, the effect you have on me…”
The look Ty gave you made your heart flip, like something you knew you always wanted was right there for the taking, and as you usually did you shrugged it off and gave a squeeze on his forearm as if to whisk away whatever it was he was feeling.
“It’s just ballet, Ty…”
“It’s not though. It’s you. I really care about you.” Carefully, and as if he’d played it over in his mind a thousand times before, he took your hands in his, a rush of cold spreading through you, and leaned down to press a soft kiss on your waiting lips.
Ty gives you a lift and offers to teach you how to drive.

Author's Note: I wrote this to try and forget that my driving lessons are a complete disaster so is this purely self indulgent. Don't expect a masterpiece. Also thanks to @blairsanne for being the best and providing me with high quality pictures of Ty.
“Thanks again, by the way.”
The van took a turn, the street lamps’ faint light being the only thing allowing you and Ty to see each other in the darkness of the night. It was already past midnight, and if only your boss hadn’t insisted on keeping you longer than needed, you wouldn’t have missed the stupid bus. Fortunately, Ty had picked up his phone when you had rung him in the middle of your panic, telling you that he was on his way and that you didn’t need to worry.
It was a bit cold in the van, but you figured it wasn’t abnormal since he fixed refrigerators for a living. And it was better than being outside anyway.
“It’s nothing,” he assured, briefly looking your way to smile at you. “And I’d be a prick to let you walk home alone in the middle of the night.” You both chuckled at that.
“Still,” you added, playing with a tiny loose thread from your jacket, “I’d do everyone a favor by learning how to drive.”
“You never tried?”
You shook your head. You never deemed it necessary, thinking that public transport would take you anywhere you needed to be. Turns out you’d been wrong. Between delayed trains and missed buses, you were late more often than you’d like. It wouldn’t have been such a problem if you had no job and if you weren’t starting to become so dependent on others.
Staring at the passing landscape, you wondered what you would have done if Ty hadn’t been available to pick you up. Walking alone at night wasn’t the safest thing, much less when you were a woman. Thank God he’d been awake.
“I could teach you.”
Surprised, you looked at him. His eyes were still focused on the road, and his face seemed emotionless as if he’d said nothing at all.
“What?” you asked, not sure you’d heard correctly.
Ty shrugged, and his lips curved into a small, nervous smile. “My van’s not exactly a racing car,” he told you, patting the steering wheel gently, “but it does the job. And if you can drive an old rusty van, you can drive any car!”
It took you a good minute to process the offer, and then all you could do was smile widely, already eager to start. Ty glanced at you, and he swore the way your face lit up almost made him feel warm inside. He hoped he’d get to see that same smile in the daylight so he could appreciate it fully.
“It’s just an idea,” he quickly added, “you don’t have to-”
“Fuck yeah!” you interrupted him. “I’d love that!”
“Great,” he breathed out, trying to hide his excitement. Now he had an excuse to spend more time with you. A lame one, for sure, but an excuse nonetheless.
Ty kept driving a few more miles before taking another turn to an empty street. As you looked around, you realized you had never seen any of these properties before and that it was not your neighborhood at all.
"Uh…" you began, frowning in confusion. "I think you went the wrong way. I don't live there."
"I know you don't," he said, slowing the car down before stopping the engine. “Don’t you want your driving lesson?”
Your eyebrow shot up as he unbuckled his seatbelt. "What, now?" you asked, slowly mimicking him.
Ty nodded before hopping out of the vehicle, shutting the door behind him. Well, you hadn’t thought you would be getting your first lesson so soon. Carefully, you slid into the driver’s seat and watched quietly as he settled into the passenger’s one. He seemed fairly calm next to you and didn’t seem bothered by the fact that you could be ending both of your lives any minute now.
“Do you know anything about the mechanics?” he asked, leaning back into his seat.
“Uhm, a thing or two?” you answered. “Dashboard, gearshift, brakes, clutch, gas?”
“Yes,” Ty said, nodding along. “Which is which?”
Eh. Now that was a whole other story. You bit your lip and looked down at the pedals. They all looked the same! How were you supposed to differentiate them?
“Okay, so the accelerator is always on the far right?” you tried, glancing at him to gauge his reactions. He didn’t seem to disagree, so you carried on. “I’d say the brakes are in the middle since you have to switch between the two. And that leaves the clutch on the left.”
You peered at him, waiting for his approval– or disapproval. Ty stayed quiet, scrutinizing you with a bright smile on his face.
“Don’t look at me like that!” you whined. “Come on, tell me! Did I get it wrong?”
“No, no,” he assured, shifting in his seat to face you. “You got it right. That’s impressive for someone who never drove a car before.”
“Ta.”
In the safety of his van, time seemed to stop as you just looked into each other’s eyes, falling into another comfortable silence. You felt your heart slowing down inside your chest, heat rushing through your face, and you gripped the steering wheel in an attempt to calm yourself down. It was freezing cold under your palms, making you flinch slightly. It was like no one had touched the van in years, leaving it to rot. Strange.
“You need to put on your seatbelt if you want to drive,” Ty said softly, dragging you out of your thoughts. “And start the van.”
“Oh yeah, right,” you replied, shaking your head to clear your mind. Breathing deeply, you followed his instructions. As soon as you turned the key, the engine started to roar. Was it that loud when he was the one driving? You glanced at Ty and bit your bottom lip nervously. “What do I do next?”
“Now you press the clutch and shift the first gear,” he explained. Ty watched you do as he told hesitantly before continuing. “Good. Now you’re going to press the accelerator and slowly remove your foot from the clutch.”
You glanced down at your feet as if maybe they would do it on their own. Of course, they didn’t. You sighed and looked back up at the road before placing your feet on the pedals.
Alright, I can do this.
Turns out you couldn’t. Not really. The van did move for a second or so, making your heart swell with pride. But as soon as you removed your foot from that stupid clutch, it stopped in a loud roaring sound.
“Too fast,” Ty explained, leaning toward you to restart the vehicle. “It’s no big deal. Try again, yeah?”
With a small nod, you executed the same movements once more. This time, the van didn’t suddenly stop. Instead, it kept moving forward slowly. Ty let out an encouraging sound as you drove lazily down the street.
“What do I do, now?” you asked as you approached a new turn.
“Now you either turn or stop the van,” he replied with a low chuckle. “I’d rather not have you crash my van into the fence. I need it to work.”
You shot him a fake-offended look and gently stopped the vehicle. “I wouldn’t have crashed into the fence at this pace,” you assured. “At worst, I would have caressed it.”
“I’m sure of it.”
Ty’s smile was always bright. It looked a little like the sun in comparison to his snow-pale skin. And no matter how cold your body was–hell it wasn’t even winter; how come you were freezing?—, it made you feel warm.
You and Ty switched seats again, and he resumed driving you back home. There was only silence now, accompanied by the soft purring of his van. You looked outside your window, your chin resting in your palm, wondering if you would ever be as warm to Ty as he was to you.
The building you lived in slowly came into view, and you felt the vehicle slow down again as Ty parked it close to the front door.
“Well,” you said, removing your belt, “thank you again for the ride. And for the lesson. That was fun.”
Ty gave you what seemed to be the hundredth smile of the night–not that you were complaining. “Anytime.” You grabbed your bag and jacket and hopped out of the van. But before you could shut the door, you heard Ty’s voice again. “Wait!” he exclaimed. “I think you need more driving lessons. And a drink, perhaps? Would you like to grab a drink with me? One of these days?”
“Are you asking me on a date?” you joked with a sly grin. A couple walked behind you on the sidewalk; the sound of their shoes on the concrete was regular like the ticking of a clock.
“Only if you say yes.”
The wind blew gently against your face, but it was not enough to cool the fire that was raging in your cheek. Ty’s eyes were hopeful, and maybe a bit sad, as if he was expecting you to say no.
“I would love to grab a drink with you, Ty,” you replied simply before shutting the door and walking away, disappearing into the safety of your apartment building.
You didn’t even hear him driving away, for the sound of your heart beating inside your chest was deafening. A date…

Summary: You and Ty go on a picnic date. Fluffy fluff.
Originally based on a request from @midearthwritings , this fic is getting out of hand.
Part 1 here.
You had waited three days.
That’s what all the popular media said to do, so you didn’t come on too strong when setting up a date after exchanging numbers.
Well, you hadn’t actually exchanged numbers, you realized, holding Ty’s business card between your fingers. He hadn’t had any way to contact you directly, so the ball was officially in your court, and you felt simultaneously like you were going to die if you didn’t call him soon, and like calling him might be what put you in the grave.
Swallowing your nerves, you punched in the number.
“Sal’s Authentic New York Pizza! How can I help you?”
“What? Sorry- wrong number!”
You hung up and looked down at your phone to see you’d transposed some numbers in your panic.
You emitted a high-pitched screech from your closed mouth, running a hand through your hair in frustration with yourself.
Fucking relax, you told yourself.
You took a few calming breaths and pictured the beautiful ice carving from the other night. Ty’s wide, pale eyes and nervous smile when you’d pulled him into a dance. How he’d laughed bashfully as he talked about his baking. The surprise on his face when you’d asked to kiss him.
Carefully this time, you typed in his number, triple-checking it before you hit ‘dial’.
“Johnson Refrigeration. You’ve got Ty.”
“Hey.” You gave your name and quickly followed with, “-from the wedding the other day.”
He laughed on the other end of the line. “Yes, I remember. Good to hear from you.”
You grinned, sitting against your counter as your brain went offline at the sound of his voice. “Thanks.”
There was an awkward pause.
You winced, giving your head a shake. “I mean- It’s good to talk to you again! Um, I was just wondering if you wanted to grab a coffee sometime? Or…”
“That sounds great!” Ty grinned, pacing in his workshop. “Actually- Would it be too forward to suggest a picnic? I know a great spot in Newmarket Park.” He’d been thinking about it since the wedding. “I can bring cupcakes.”
You chewed your lip, put at ease by his enthusiasm. “That sounds lovely. I’ll bring lunch. Any requests?”
“Naw. Anything you make will be delicious, I’m sure.” He was genuinely excited, hoping it would taste as flavourful as it had the other night. He ran his hand over his head. “Are you… free tomorrow?”
“Tomorrow’s perfect.”
“Perfect.” You heard him let out a relieved sigh. “I’ll pick you up? Say half past noon?”
“Sure. I’ll text you my address.”
“Ta.”
Ty smiled down at his phone when your call ended, mind racing with excitement over your plans the next day.
“Oh, what’s that face?”
Ty looked up in alarm to see Anders strolling through his workspace toward him. “What?”
“You have a hot date lined up, bro?” In truth, Anders had heard the tail end of the conversation and didn’t need Ty to confirm it.
Anders seemed deeply amused by the idea, which got under Ty’s skin in a way he didn’t care to admit.
“If I did, I wouldn’t talk to you about it.”
“That’s cold. Here I was, happy for you.”
Ty rolled his eyes. “I’m sure. Why are you here?”
“If you need pointers on how to get your end away-”
“God- It’s always about sex with you.”
He shrugged. “That’s the fun bit?”
Ty rolled his eyes. “Yeah, whatever- Why are you here, Anders?”
Anders giggled, but put his hands in his pockets and let Ty off the hook as he started to explain the latest development in their search for the Frigg.
---
“Sorry I don’t have a smaller vehicle.” Ty winced apologetically as you put on your seatbelt in the front seat of his van.
You waved dismissively. “No worries. I’m used to this sort of ride, believe me.”
“Right. Your catering van probably smells better though.” He let out a soft, self-deprecating laugh.
His van smelled a bit like a mechanic’s shop, you thought. You tried to picture what he looked like when he was elbows-deep in a fridge repair job. Did he get greasy? Wear a jumpsuit?
You’d only seen him twice now; the first time in a well-fitted but understated suit, and today in nice jeans and a button-down short-sleeved shirt. He smelled like laundry soap and aftershave, competing with the lingering scent of refrigerator oil from his vehicle.
If he got dirty at work, he sure knew how to clean up well.
“I kind of like the smell,” you murmured, looking out the window.
He blinked, raising his brows at you momentarily, but quickly turned his attention to starting the vehicle and getting you on your way. He could already feel an unfamiliar warmth under his shirt, silently confirming to himself that it must have been you that made him feel this way.
“How’d you get into fridge repairs?”
“Oh, uh-” He winced, the reminder of his god powers unwelcome. “I developed a bit of a knack for it?”
“Just sort of happened?” You nodded. “I think I can relate. You cater a few parties for friends, and next thing you know, you’re booked up every weekend.”
“Business is business.” He grinned and shrugged.
“Yes. Have to pay the bills somehow. Oh, but- your carving! That must be a real passion you have. I’ve never seen anything like that.”
You noted the ghost of a blush that graced his pale cheeks as he focused on the road. “I like ice. It’s tangible, solid. But also temporary. Unforgiving and fragile.” He let out a small huff and smiled to himself. “It’s fun to work with.”
“You like that it’s temporary?” You couldn’t imagine creating something so beautiful only to have it disappear into nothing. It would never occur to you that you did the same thing when making food.
“It’s nice to think the cold won’t last,” he answered without thinking. Then he pursed his lips and furrowed his brow. That’s a weird thing to say, Ty.
But you were watching the road, taking his statement at face value. “Mm. I reckon.” You were distracted, wondering how many masterpieces he’d carved and disposed of over the years.
---
When you arrived at the park, he tried to take the picnic basket you’d packed from you.
“I can carry it. I’m stronger than I look.”
“I’m sure you are, but-” He held up the large tote with the picnic blanket in one hand and his container of cupcakes in the other. “I’ll feel like a rotten date if we don’t trade. Please?”
The part of you that might argue with other men that you didn’t need their help carrying things was somehow not offended by this gesture, and so you shrugged and let him trade. His wares were admittedly much lighter, and you were grateful for the swap once you started making your way down the unfamiliar path through the park. Apparently it was further than you’d assumed.
He led you to a lovely spot with lush green grass, trees, and a view of the lake.
Once you settled on the large gingham picnic blanket, you let out a happy sigh. There was a slight breeze, and between the bright sun and the dappling of shade from the trees, it felt like the perfect picnic weather.
“Do you come to this park often?”
“Sometimes.” Ty nodded. “It’s a good path for running, especially in the morning when there’s not so many people around.”
“Running, right.” You nodded.
“Do you like to run?”
“I… haven’t run since school?” You laughed. “I don’t mind walking. Especially in nice parks with the right company.” You tilted your head at him.
He wet his lips. “Walks can be good.”
It was then that you got lost in the blue-grey color of his eyes. You’d been right to think they’d look different in sunlight than in the creamy din of the reception hall. They shone like storm clouds ready to streak silver lightning, but the look in them was kind and inviting as he smiled back at you.
“Hungry?”
His face lit up. “Starved.”
In fact, he’d skipped breakfast in anticipation. The food at the wedding had been so good that everything he’d eaten since was a huge let-down. He’d gotten used to cold food for so long, but the temporary reprieve had reminded him what he’d been missing out on.
You opened the lid of the picnic basket and carefully laid out several containers of food. Two small glass jars of fruit salad, another two with pasta salad inside, and then a two-tier container of all manner of appetizers like the ones from the wedding. You were secretly both showing off and trying to figure out what sorts of things he preferred to eat at the same time.
“Oh wow.” He stared down at the spread with wide eyes. “I clearly got the better end of the deal, here. I’m not sure my cupcakes are worth all this.”
You disagreed. Surely just his company was worth this much. Worth more. There was something about him that drew you like a magnet in a way you couldn’t explain.
“I’m testing out recipes-” you lied. “So tell me which ones are winners.”
“Keen.”
And he was. Once again you watched as he slowly savoured everything he tried, unable to contain the marvel at every new flavour. You’d cook for him every day if it put that dumbfounded smile on his face.
After a few minutes he looked over at you with concern. “Aren’t you going to eat?”
“Oh!” You let out a small laugh and nodded suddenly. “Of course. I was just waiting to see what you thought.” You grabbed one of the pasta salad portions and opened it up as if to prove you were a human who consumed food.
“This is, easily, the best lunch I’ve had in years.”
“Oh, you don’t need to be hyperbolic.”
“I’m not.”
You looked up to catch the earnest expression on his face, though the breathless way he’d voiced his assurance was convincing enough. What the hell had they been feeding this man his whole life? Dirt?
Ty opened one of the fruit salads next, unphased by your nonverbal state.
“The strawberries are cut into roses.” He held one up on his fork, marveling at it.
“Oh, just a little trick I picked up for catering.”
You’d also used cookie cutters to cut the melon into little stars and diamonds. Obviously you’d tried to make the meal special, but now that he was remarking on it, you were second guessing yourself. Maybe you’d overdone it.
But he was delighted. “That’s amazing. Best fruit salad ever.”
You let out a small laugh. “Ta.”
He noted the faint blush on your cheeks as he looked over at you. The sun behind you bathed you in a soft glow, like a golden aura.
He shook his head slightly. “You didn’t have to go to all this trouble.”
You shrugged, trying to hide your bashful smile. “It’s just food. But I’m glad you’re enjoying it.”
---
As your picnic wore on, you settled into a game of asking each other endless questions. Favourite movies. Holidays. Music tastes.
“Favourite type of weather?”
“I like all weather, but…” Ty hummed in thought, laying on his side on the blanket. “Hail?”
You snorted, but then nodded. “Right. Ice.”
He laughed at himself.
“And you? Favourite weather?”
“If I have to be outside, weather like this is perfect, but if I can hole up inside?” You winced. “I’m sort of partial to thunderstorms?”
“Really?”
You nodded. “Especially if the power’s out. Then you can cozy up under a blanket and watch the rain outside, and then- flash of lightning! And the louder the thunder, the better.”
He imagined it easily. Cuddled together on a loveseat, candles lit, and you beaming as the sky split open outside. Holding you safely against him as the rolling thunder shook the house.
“Sounds like heaven,” he murmured.
“You don’t think I’m a nutbar?”
He shrugged, smiling. “I’m partial to nutbars.”
The two of you shared a small laugh.
“It’s like I said, I like all weather. Wind. Rain. That special kind of rain that comes in sideways.” He grinned with a twinkle in his eye that made your stomach flutter. You let out a soft hum.
“How ‘bout those cupcakes now?” You raised a brow, eyeing their container.
“Oh! Yes.” He sat up and opened the box.
Inside were four chocolate cupcakes with caramel-flavoured frosting on top. He pulled one out and offered it to you with some mild trepidation. “Not sure they’ll hold up to a caterer’s standards, but I’ve been told they’re not bad.”
“Oh, it looks amazing.”
He watched with amused confusion as you carefully pulled the cupcake in half and flipped the top upside down, creating a frosting sandwich. You took a bite and let out a pleased sound.
They were good, no question. Just dense and moist enough for a chocolate cupcake to be decadent but not disgustingly rich. There was a hint of salt in the caramel frosting. You would have no problem serving these to your clients.
You nodded to him. “Really good.” You took another big bite.
You caught Ty staring at your mouth, fighting a grin.
“What?”
“You have some crumbs,” he murmured, leaning toward you to brush his thumb over the skin just beside your lips.
He hovered there, and you searched each other's eyes for a moment. When your face moved slightly closer to his, he closed the gap, pressing a tender kiss to your mouth.
Despite the heat on the back of his neck at the kiss, Ty felt calm. Patient.
His lips curled into a satisfied smile that could have melted any ice sculpture you placed before him.
“I’m having a really good time,” he murmured.
“Me too.”
---
Later, the two of you strolled lazily along the paved path, eventually coming to a bench with a picturesque view of the lake.
“Let’s sit for a bit,” Ty suggested, doing just that. He pat the bench seat beside him.
You followed suit, sitting a little closer than could be considered casual.
Ty smiled and stretched his arms out to rest one behind you on the back of the bench.
It may not have been as subtle or smooth as he’d have imagined, but it was an open invitation when coupled with the glance that met your raised brow gaze.
You slid over and laid your head on his chest, draping an arm loosely around his torso. His arm that had been behind you wrapped around you easily and you both settled into your new arrangement on the bench.
You could hear - feel - his strong heart beating a slow, steady rhythm. Like a metronome, it seemed to set a pace for your breath, and you stared out over the water feeling quite relaxed.
Ty was just as at ease. Looking out at the lake, no troubles crossed his mind. There was nothing but this moment of peace and you in his arms. The warm feeling in his veins that seemed to tell him all’s good. He trailed his fingers up and down your side absent-mindedly.
After some time in pleasant silence, his hand stopped its idle movements.
“Are you… comfortable?” He raised a brow, not wanting to outright ask you if you were cold without context. Surely he could only get away with that so many times before you thought he had some weird complex.
You hummed happily, pressing against him even more. “Very.” Maybe you were too comfortable. Maybe Ty thought it was weird that you felt completely at ease snuggled up on a bench in public with someone you’d only met a few days prior.
“Ty?”
“Hm?”
“You like ice because it’s temporary?”
“Not- exactly.” He wanted to be honest, but needed to be careful what he said. “I like working with ice. And I like that ice is temporary.”
“Mm.”
“Why?” He turned to look down at your face, soft worry playing on his features.
“I was just wondering… if you prefer other things to be temporary.”
He scrunched his face, not sure what you were getting at. “What d’you mean?”
“Nothing. Nevermind.”
There were plenty of things he wouldn’t mind being temporary. The stress over the hunt for Frigg. The stupid bickering between his older brothers.
Being Hod.
But none of that mattered right now. Right now he was bathed in warmth and easy comfort unlike anything he’d known. Whatever he was feeling - for you, because of you - was welcome indeed.
“Some things I’d like to never end.”
“Like what?”
“This?” He laid his head on yours, closing his eyes.
You felt the color rising to your cheeks. You couldn’t help but agree.

Here’s a Ty x gn!reader requested by the lovely and talented @midearthwritings
Thank ya thank ya for the request you beautiful bean!
Hopefully I did Ty justice and kept my reader gender neutral (technically the GN reader part wasn’t part of the request so i took a liberty there, hope that was ok).
Warnings: PG reader has a cold. sick fic. fluff. slight mention of intercourse but it’s one tiny sentence.
Summary: Reader gets a cold on the day of a date with Ty. He stays to help reader recover.
You had a date with Ty and you were beyond excited! You picked out the perfect outfit, down to the very details. You even arranged your entire week around this very date! The whole nine yards you made sure of.
You awoke a bit off the day of the date, figuring it was the tossing and turning of anticipation.
You were planning on inviting Ty into your apartment after the date, hoping to go finally/possibly all the way.
You ignored your grogginess with your morning skincare routine, a cup of coffee, and a small breakfast and off you went to work. Hoping the busy day would make it go faster and also help you feel less woozy.
However it had the opposite effect.
As the day wore on, your health got worse. You felt more tired, woozy, and weak. Food didn’t seem appetizing any more, standing hurt, sitting hurt, conversation took a lot of brain power. Sleep was the only thing running through your mind.
It was a hundred times worse once you got home. The only thing stopping you from crawling into bed immediately was seeing your date outfit lying on the chair and a text from Ty “be there in 45!”
You felt panic and started to scramble to get ready, but the adrenaline rush lasted only a moment, your movement had quickly become sluggish.
You were mostly dressed to the point where you weren’t indecent but a few articles of clothing were still unfastened and you were in the fight of your life putting on a boot when Ty entered your apartment.
“Whoa! Careful now Sunflower! Don’t want that boot to get the best of ya now.”
Your cheeks were already red from your exhaustion that your sheepish blush didn’t show. “Sorry Ty, I’m uh…” you sunk into a nearby chair. You felt the last of your strength leave like a ghost. “Give me a moment, i’m…” exhausted.
Ty’s smile was replaced with deep concern. His hand found your forehead. “Are you alright? You look awful.”
Distracted with his cool hand on your forehead, which felt heavenly, you almost didn’t register his words. “Hmm?? Oh….no I’m” a yawn “I’m fine.” He started to remove his hand, you quickly grabbed it. “Mmm nooo! Stay, your hand feels amazing.”
“Surely it's too cold...wait, do you have a fever?” Unfortunately he wasn’t the best at telling, for obvious reasons.
“I’ll finish getting ready so we can” a deep breath “go on our date.”
“Oh no we aren’t. You’re staying home and resting.”
Easily picking you up, he plopped you onto your bed and removed some articles of clothing. Soon, a blush appeared on his pale cheeks “do you need uh...help with your...other clothes? Or shall I turn around?”
Tapping your chin in thought as you wriggled some to assess your clothing/energy situation, you spun your finger in a circle motion. In which Ty complied.
His back towards you, he chewed his bottom lip at the sound of clothes being removed behind him. He didn't turn back around until he heard a squawk of triumph as you tossed your final piece of clothing into the far corner of your room.
Tucking you into your comforter and adding another blanket it occurred to him he wasn’t too well versed on taking care of someone sick. He rarely got sick himself and being the god of cold didn’t exactly help him either. “What do you need?”
“Medicine. Bathroom. Mirror drawer. And maybe something cold.” you gestured lazily to your forehead.
After fumbling a bit in your bathroom, trying to figure out the right stuff to give you, returning, and giving you the awful tasting stuff, you thought he would have just left you like that. It didn’t help that Ty left the room completely with no word towards you.
You started to get depressed, your guilt of making a mess of today and not being able to apologize properly to Ty started to eat away at your foggy brain when Ty returned to your room with two cups of water, a cold compress and a book.
He placed everything down on the bed side tables and gave you the cold compress before picking up the book back up and giving it a wave at you. “Hope you don’t mind.”
“None at all,” you quickly said from instinctive habit. Not voicing the confusion as to what he meant and why he had a book.
Your confusion ceased when Ty crawled into bed next to you under the covers, propping himself with the pillows and giving you a kiss on the cheek before opening said book to read. “Get some rest, love.”
“You’re staying??” The hopeful tone was hard to miss.
He smiled down at you, “if that’s alright? Someone has to make sure you don’t push yourself.”
You sighed in relief. Closing your eyes in content. Intending to rest for a moment before apologizing properly to him, wishing you weren’t sick and that the two of you could have gone on what you knew was going to be a wonderful date. However, as you snuggled up against his side you said instead, “you’re warm. I’ve never felt this comfortable before. Thank you.” And you promptly fell asleep.
Which was a good thing, according to Ty in that moment, because you missed his shocked and awed expression.
How long has it been that someone had said he was warm? When has anyone said they were comfortable in his cold presence?
His expression broke into a heartbreaking happy smile as he moved a stray hair out of your face.
He’ll claim he only read a little of the book before falling asleep beside you the next morning. He’ll never admit what he actually did was keep a blissful watch on you, still so unbelieving you were someone so dear to him and him so dear to you in turn. Afraid that if he fell asleep, he’d wake up and you were nothing but a dream.
You’ll apologize in the morning and you’ll both spend the day together watching shows, eating soup, and cuddling on the couch. No cold ruining the day.
And both of you will agree that it turned out to be a wonderful memory all the same.
You plodded lazily into Ty’s kitchen, rubbing your eyes as you turned on the coffee machine. While you waited for it to do its magic, you wandered over to the window to check the weather.
At first, you couldn’t make sense of what you were looking at, and you thought for a moment you had something in your eyes. Blinking, you realized with a start that - yes, in fact - the ground was covered in a layer of white.
“Ty!” You turned to face him as he entered the room, your stunned face giving him alarm.
He was upon you immediately, his hands on your hips as he looked you over for injury. “What is it? Are you alright?”
“Ty it snowed!”
“What?”
He looked past you out the window, and sure enough, saw snow in his yard.
“It never snows in Auckland.” Even if it was the coldest week of August.
“We have to go touch it!”
You moved past him and stepped into your slippers to disappear out the back door.
He gestured after you in stunned confusion for a moment. He pulled his phone out of his pocket to check the news, and found it flooded with stories about the snow. Not just in Auckland, but nearby places too - a winter storm unlike you’d seen in ages.
Somewhat reassured that he hadn’t somehow caused this freak weather, he stepped outside in bare feet.
Ty couldn’t help the grin on his face as he followed your path to the middle of the yard.
There was something profoundly comfortable to him about walking barefoot in snow, and he questioned if he’d ever done so before.
Hod, he supposed.
You turned to face him, your face a mix of conflicting emotions. “It finally snowed here and I wasn’t even awake to see it.”
“You’re seeing it right now,” he argued, letting out a soft laugh as he gestured at the inches of blinding snow all around you.
“Yes, but…” You looked away, a rosy hue playing on your cheeks. “I’ve always wanted to kiss someone in the falling snow. Like in all those Hallmark Christmas movies, you know?”
You sighed and rubbed your arm, feeling silly. You lived in New Zealand, after all.
Ty pulled you in close for a slow, sweet kiss. He internally willed Hod to fulfill your wish.
You felt a cold touch on your cheek. Then your bare arm. Then your nose.
You pulled back from Ty and stared up in wonder. Thick snowflakes were falling softly over the both of you. You couldn’t tell that it was only over his yard, and you didn’t question the miraculous timing. Amazing things always seemed to happen when you were with Ty, and you had decided that it was simply a sign that the two of you were meant to be together.
You grinned up at your blue-eyed lover in wonder. The white snow was starting to settle in his black hair, but he looked more comfortable than ever.
You wrapped your arms around him, closing your eyes, and let out a happy sigh. “I love you.”
His strong arms wrapped around you in reply. “I love you too.”
You stood there together while the falling snow slowly grew thin until the sky was still again.
Ty hummed. “We should go inside. You must be getting cold.”
You shook your head, your face rubbing against his soft shirt. “Mm, I’m always warm when I’m with you.”
He smiled and kissed the top of your head.
“Me too.”

The Almighty Johnsons
Ty Johnson x gn!Reader
Reader has hair.
Summary: You find yourself dateless at your sister's wedding. Your eye is soon caught by some ice, and the man behind it.
Fluffy fluff.
Based on a request from @midearthwritings
You stared up in awe.
You were standing near the dessert table at your older sister’s wedding reception. The venue was draped in white fabric and fairy lights, white roses in every centrepiece, and even tucked into your hair. The décor was immaculate, and the soft romantic music that filled the air had put you in a pleasant mood.
But this.
This had stolen your breath the moment you caught sight of it, and now that you were standing in front of it, you thought you might weep.
An ice carving of an angel blowing a horn was placed on top of a wide table. The tiny lights that peppered the ceiling reflected in its transparent figure, giving it the illusion that it was itself lit by dozens of frozen fireflies.
“Apparently it’s something of a family tradition.”
You nodded at the warm voice that had greeted you, then paused, realizing you couldn’t place it to a name. You turned to see a handsome man with short black hair in a dark grey suit standing a few feet to your left.
His pale grey-blue eyes darted between you and the ice carving. “I’m told one of the brides’ fathers had made something like this for his own wedding.”
You nodded again, quite familiar with the sculpture in question. “His was metalwork, though,” you managed.
“Oh, you- you know the family.” The stranger let out a soft, self-deprecating laugh and looked away, seemingly embarrassed.
“Don’t you?”
He smiled easily enough as he shook his head. “Nah. I’m just here to keep an eye on my work.” He gestured up at the angel.
Your brows raised in surprise. “You made this?”
He couldn’t help the burst of pride he felt at your question. You asked it like he’d just said he’d created the sun.
“Yeah. It’s just ice, though.”
“It’s beautiful.” Your voice was thick with awe and warmth. “Dad’s was lost a few years back, but this looks just like it… Like a glass replica.”
It was like seeing a ghost of a precious family heirloom, and you were appalled that it was going to melt away into nothing. How your sister had not wept on the floor in front of it all night, you weren’t sure. You glanced her way and saw her gazing lovingly up into her new wife’s eyes.
Maybe she can be forgiven.
“It was your father’s sculpture? Then that means…”
“Yes, my older sister is one of the happy brides.” You laughed and turned to the handsome carver. “Don’t hold it against me.”
He just shook his head, expression genuine when he replied. “They’ve both been so lovely.”
You pointed playfully. “Good.” You looked around and noted a chair in a nearby corner, wondering if he’d sat there alone during the long speeches and dinner plating.
“Did you get to eat?” you asked suddenly.
“Oh, no-”
“You didn’t?!”
“No, it’s fine, I-”
“I’ll be right back.”
He gestured weakly after you, but you were already flying into the kitchen.
He smiled weakly to himself and put his hands in his pockets as he looked up at the ice angel. It was holding up very well thanks to his presence.
You came back with a plate covered in various hors d’oeuvres and a couple bread rolls that you’d pilfered from the kitchen.
“You didn’t need to do that.”
“I will not have my sister’s new life chapter marred by any accusations of our family being poor hosts. Please, please eat,” you insisted, holding the plate before you.
He let out a nervous laugh. “That’s very kind of you, thank you.” He took a canapé from the plate and popped it into his mouth. He chewed slowly, and you could read the pleased surprise on his face.
“It’s good right?”
“It is.”
He had the same mildly confused expression as he continued to eat.
It didn’t make any sense, but he was able to taste this food better than anything he’d eaten in eight or so years.
You loved his facial reactions to each thing he tried. It was like the man had never eaten food, and was both enjoying and overwhelmed by the experience. You weren’t sure what it was about him - maybe the stark contrast of his pale skin and eyes and his inky black hair - but you were certain you could stare at him all night.
“See? Befriending the caterer has its perks.”
His brows raised. “You’re the caterer?”
You shrugged. “Yeah, I do event catering for a living, so naturally my sister wanted a favour. Consider those bacon-wrapped dates my wedding gift to her.”
“Oh, feel free to do me favours any time,” he laughed, popping another appetizer in his mouth appreciatively.
“I’m Ty, by the way.” He offered his hand. “Ty Johnson.”
You shook his hand and introduced yourself.
He noted that you didn’t flinch at the touch of his hand, and how yours lingered on it until it was an inappropriately long handshake.
You looked up at the angel again. “I’ll have to recommend you to my clients. I get asked about ice carvings surprisingly often.”
“Oh, please do.” Ty pulled a business card out of his pocket and handed it to you.
You frowned down at the blue card. “Johnson Refrigeration Services. Fridge repairs?”
“That’s my main business. I do the ice sculpting on the side.”
“You know how to keep things cold.”
“You could say that.”
He looked up to you from his empty plate and licked his lips. “Your date must be waiting to take you to the dance floor,” he commented softly.
You let out a small laugh. “No no. That would require me to have a date.”
He cocked his head slightly. “Oh, that’s a shame. I always thought one of the things that made weddings bearable was that you could bring someone along to keep you company.”
“Tell you what-” You pulled one of the white roses from your hair and slipped it into his jacket pocket. “Since you’ve kept me company, you can be my date.”
Ty let out an awkward, nervous breath. “I’m not sure if that’s appropriate, given I’m here to work-”
“The brides aren’t going to notice,” you argued, gesturing to where they were still dancing enthusiastically together. “Unless, maybe your partner would be bothered by-”
“No, no partner.”
“Mm. Lucky me, then.”
The two of you smiled at each other for a moment.
“Since you’re my date now, does that mean you want to take me to the dance floor?”
"Ah-"
You caught his nervous glance at the ice angel.
“Tell you what-” you corrected yourself, taking his plate and swiftly discarding it on the side of the dessert display. “We can dance right here.”
He tensed as you took his hands in yours, pulling one behind you to place on the small of your back. Your free hand rested on his shoulder while the other held his comfortably.
It took him a moment to loosen up, but seeing how effortlessly you took to being under his touch, he soon forgot that he’d only just met you.
He was a great dancer, and you lost track of time as several songs passed with the two of you having your own private party behind the ice sculpture in the far end of the hall. While you looked up at him in the warm, dim light, you wondered idly how he’d gotten the scar on his chin, and what color his eyes were in the sunlight.
He smiled back at you, lost in the small moment of easy romance. Things always seemed to start off simply enough…
He suddenly winced. “You must be getting cold.”
“What- From the ice?” You glanced over at the angel sculpture. “It’s not that cold. If anything, I’m probably making it melt faster. I’ve always run a little hot.”
“Your hand’s okay?” He squeezed the hand he was holding, studying your face with concern.
“My hand’s perfectly comfortable right where it is,” you assured him, looking up at him with a content expression. “As is the rest of me.”
“Oh. Alright. Good as gold, then.”
As the night wound down, you two continued to chat - and sporadically dance - near his frigid display.
You told him about your business, your family. You learned he had three brothers; one married and trying to start a family, one happily single running his own PR business, and one who was in uni. Apparently Ty loved to run and - to your delight - bake. He boasted about his cupcakes and you joked that he should trade you some for dinner sometime.
When the party died down and guests started to filter out, the brides - now very drunk - came over and let him know he could leave whenever he liked. They sauntered off to round up the rest of the guests and encourage everyone out of the venue so cleanup could start.
“Suppose that’s my cue to leave,” Ty lamented, backing slowly toward the ice carving. “Just have to take this out to the van.”
“Do you need help?”
“Nah, it’s on wheels.” He ducked down and lifted the table skirt up to reveal casters that he unlocked before pushing the table a foot toward the door in demonstration.
“Ah.” You stepped tentatively toward him and patted the flower in his pocket. “Thanks for keeping me company.”
“The pleasure was mine. Truly.” He grinned, feeling like he really had gone on a date, rather than sitting at a wedding watching his ice stay frozen. “I had a great time.”
You stood expectantly, but he just started pushing the table again.
“Could I see your van?” you asked suddenly, wanting an excuse to follow him out.
He tilted his head in confusion, but didn’t argue. “Oh. Sure. It’s just out back here.” He pushed the table through the door into the loading area out the back, and down the ramp toward the parking spots.
“This is it. My van.” He laughed nervously as he stopped behind the blue and grey vehicle.
You pointed to a large van in another spot. “That’s my catering van there.”
He raised his brows and gave it an appraising look. “Oh nice.”
“Ty.”
He turned to face you again. “Hm?”
“Can I kiss you?”
His mouth fell open for a moment as he processed what you’d said. “Yes?”
You tipped up and pressed your lips to his, melting against him when he kissed back. His hands found your waist and he held you carefully, as though afraid to break you.
When you eventually pulled away, you were both slightly breathless.
He blinked as he processed the hot feeling on the back of his neck. He wasn’t sure the last time he’d felt so warm.
“Can I see you again?” you asked hopefully.
“I would love that.” He grinned and gestured vaguely at the business info plastered on the side of his van. “You have my number.”

A/N: I hope that was a little bit what you had in mind?
I've never done a request before. XD
I feel like this is not enough, haha. I want to write more Ty fluff now, so I will probably do a part 2 to this where they do more fluffy things, and consider this their meet-cute.
Feel free to send more requests. I had a lot of fun with this.
Summary
You and Ty have a day off so you spend it with slow, sensual, lazy day loving.
Warning
Smut duh
You collapsed onto Ty’s bed with an exhausted sigh on your lips. You barely had the energy to change from your day clothes into a comfortable pair of pajama shorts and one of Ty’s shirts. He opted for flannel pajama pants and no top as he crawled into bed beside you, drawing the comforter over the both of you.
His strong arms wrapped around you as you snuggled into his chest, burrowing your face into his neck and securing your arms around his waist. He had one arm around your shoulders while the other rested comfortably on your hip.
You let one hand travel down his chest, drawing lazy patterns on his bare skin. He hummed softly in response, closing his eyes and focusing his mind on your fingers, trying to decipher the message. You traced “Hodr” and then “Eir,” looking up at him with a smile.
You knew all about Ty’s god stuff because you yourself were a goddess. You were the embodiment of Eir, Goddess of Healing. Since you weren’t a mortal, Ty’s unnaturally cold body temperature didn’t affect you, letting you enjoy kisses and cuddles and all kinds of physical contact.
“It’s nice to have the day off tomorrow,” he commented, hugging you closer.
“Mmm, no work,” you replied, referring to his job.
“No animals,” he countered, referring to your vet office.
“No brothers.”
“No errands.”
“No god stuff.”
He let out a chuckle at your final argument and nodded. “No god stuff.”
Holding your chin gently in his hand, he tilted your head up. Your eyes fluttered closed as his lips ghosted over yours, taking their time to apply pressure and turn it into a real kiss. You hummed softly into his mouth, reaching a hand up to card through his short black locks, pulling his face closer to yours.
He shifted the arm that you were using as a pillow so that he could hover above you, his lips lazily attached to yours. Your mouths parted and joined together repeatedly as his hand dragged down your side, sliding under your shirt when it made its way back up.
It had been so long since the two of you just had time to yourselves. You didn’t realize how much you missed it. Sex was always fast and rough, which you enjoyed, but it was nice to slow down and just focus on each other’s touch.
Ty’s lazy kisses trailed down your jaw and neck, pausing to lick or bite at the skin there, keeping that same slow pace. Tilting your head back,a groan of appreciation left your lips and you ran a hand down his chest, lightly dragging your nails. His torso shivered under your touch and you grinned to yourself.
He removed his arm from beneath your head, rolling on top of you. His hands slid under your shirt, pushing it up to your chest, kissing every bit of skin he exposed. You raised your arms above your head as he pulled the fabric off, tossing it somewhere in the room.
A groan sounded in his throat when he realized you hadn’t worn a bra to bed, leaving your plump breasts exposed completely. His lips found yours again, pressing harder than he had before as his large hands cupped your breasts perfectly. You hummed into his mouth as he squeezed and kneaded, knowing every move to make to drive you wild.
His kisses trailed down your neck once more, continuing down your chest. He let go of one breast so he could wrap his lips around it, sucking on your nipple and dragging his tongue across it. You moaned at the sensation, arching your back to press your chest closer to his mouth.
He continued down your torso, licking and sucking your skin. His hands slid down to the waistband of your shorts, hooking his fingers in and pulling the fabric down. You wiggled your hips to help him remove your shorts and panties, sighing softly at the breeze that blew between your legs.
He gently pushed your legs apart with his hands, running his fingers across your skin. You shivered under his touch. Starting at your knee, he kissed his way up the inside of your leg, glancing up at your closed eyes before pressing a kiss to your lower lips. You bit your lip as he parted your folds with his tongue, dragging it from your entrance to the top of your clit.
Your hips wiggled, desperate for friction, as he ravished you with his tongue. He drew lazy circles around your clit, darting his tongue in and out of your entrance. His hands held your hips still as you tried to buck against his face. He gently sucked on your clit, earning a loud moan from you. His fingers gently held your lips apart, giving his tongue more ground to cover. He would thrust his tongue inside a few times, then drag it up and around your clit before sucking it into his mouth. He moaned into your heat, sending vibrations through your core. You moaned loudly in turn, trying to buck your hips, but your movement was restricted between his mouth and hands.
When you neared your peak, he pulled away, earning a whimper from your lips. He kissed his way back up your torso, kicking off his pajama pants as he did so. When he returned to being on top of you, you could feel his arousal poking your sensitive heat.
You ran your hands down his chest, trying to entice him as he had enticed you. With your hands at his hips, just above his manhood, you dragged your nails across his skin. He groaned and shivered in response, grabbing both of your hands in one of his and holding them above your head.
He grabbed your thigh with his free hand and hooked it over his hip. You gladly followed with the other leg. He nestled perfectly between your legs, and you whimpered when his erection rubbed against your soaking heat.
“Ty,” you gasped, throwing your head back as he teased you, rubbing himself against you but not enough to push inside.
“Patience, love,” he chuckled, leaning down to kiss your lips. You kissed back passionately, trying to convey your need.
His resistance finally broke and he shoved inside you. You moaned in unison as he filled you. He began thrusting, pulling almost all the way out before slamming back in. It was still slow and sensual, but he added more passion with every thrust.
You moaned with every movement, unable to hold back and having no reason to. His free hand held your hip, allowing him to hit that perfect angle inside of you. You tightened your legs around his waist whenever he hit your spot, and he made a note to thrust that way again.
“You’re beautiful,” he commented as you were reduced to a moaning mess beneath him. You moaned again as he picked up his pace, signaling that he was close. His hand slid from your hip to your heat, rubbing his fingers over your clit to help you to your climax. You gasped his name and rocked your hips against him as the friction increased. The combined pleasure of his arousal inside of you and his fingers on your clit threw you over the edge. Loud moans fell from your lips as he helped you through your orgasm, thrusting steadily as you came down from your high. He released your hands, allowing you to run them all over his body. You dragged your nails down his back, circling around his hips and thighs. He moaned your name as your touch pushed him to his peak, his hips sputtering as he lost rhythm. His release flowed through you and you sighed softly, holding his hips.
He eventually pulled out of you and moved to lie beside you, holding you to his chest. You kissed him softly as you wrapped your arms around him. He secured his arms around you, letting you use one of them as a pillow. Burying your face in his chest, you soon fell asleep, satisfied and content.
