We got two old timers getting a scrub down today. In the spirit of continuing to spotlight my oldest and most dearest guys and gals, here we have Spot and Snoopette. Giving them a bath has been on my to-do list for a while, but I just kept forgetting about it. Until I looked at Snoopette yesterday and literally muttered “Oh girl” out loud. So, yeah, it’s time for a bath lol.

While they soak and I scrub, I’ll tell you a bit about them. Spot is a Webkinz dalmatian and he is ancient. I say that with love. He was one of my first webkinz and was easily my favorite. I took him everywhere with me. Some of my personal favorite memories include walking him along the floor of a Sam’s Club with a Build-a-Bear leash, taking him to daycare and sharing my snacks with him, and being absolutely distraught when one of my childhood friends insisted on playing with him lol. He has since retired from active snuggle buddy duty and now enjoys a comfy, mostly undisturbed spot by my pillow. He’s my #1 guy, undisputed for over a decade. He’s gonna be with me forever.

Now, for the girl of the hour, Snoopette! She’s a TY Pluffies Snoopy. Yep, eight year old me looked at a pink snoopy and went “She’s pink so she’s a girl!” hence Snoopette. I got her at a Cracker Barrel. I don’t remember why I was enchanted by her. I liked Snoopy as a kid, but I also wasn’t a huge fan of having preexisting characters as stuffed animals. Just wasn’t typically my jam, but for some reason I really liked Snoopette. She has a voice box that used to play the Peanuts theme song, but it’s been broken for a couple of years now. I’ve thought about ripping one of her seams and seeing if it’s something I can replace/fix, but I just haven’t committed to it yet.
