Currently a little over half way through Rebecca Ross’ A River Enchanted and this exchange of dialogue has made me so soft:

“I haven’t changed?” he asked.

“In some ways, yes. But in others… I think I would know you anywhere.”

By far one of my favorite reads of the year. I love the characters and the writing, can’t wait to finish it and see what happens next

People getting hung up on JLaw saying that before Hunger Games came out, there weren't any women-led action films and getting snarky by bringing up the women led action films rather than the actual problem she was discussing, (the fact that men are seen as relatable everyone by Hollywood as opposed to women whom can only be relatable to women) is a textbook example why it's so hard to discuss the representation problems in our media. People will jump on anything to justify not discussing the actual issue at hand. It'd be funny if it weren't so fucking frustrating.
