Apparently I was way to hopeful thinking I’d get this done this weekend. This ribbing needs to measure four inches and it’s taken me a total of 3 hours to make it one inch. I’m going to be a little longer than I thought. But any progress is still progress! Not the best pic but I didn’t want to make the cat get up so I could get a better one. The sleeves are attached to the body and decreases made for the shoulders. Now I need to pick up stitches along both sides up the front of the body and across what I just finished and knit on 4” of ribbing. It’s getting closer!! I’m ready now to join the body and the sleeves. Both the body and the two sleeves measure 19”. It took me almost three weeks to make the other sleeve and I got this one this far in just a day and a half! I still need to add about 9 1/2” of the solid dark yarn (rainforest) for it to be done but I’m making really good time. This sleeve fits much better this time. I decided to go up to the next size chart for the sleeves in the pattern to maintain the same stitch definition. It would have probably also worked if I’d done the smaller size chart again but used larger needles but then the gauge would look different. The chart was a little jacked in places but I was able to figure it out and fix it as I went. I need to add another 9” to this in the dark yarn then I will do it all again for the other sleeve. I finally started on this sweater again after taking a week off. I decided to stick with the same size needles I used on the first sleeve and go up to the next size in the pattern. It’s just four additional stitches but already feels much better when I tried it on.
