“Akashicchi, you should totally marry me,” Kise says.

Midorima groans and drops forward, hitting his forehead against the table. He just… stays there. Momoi, Kuroko and Murasakibara completely ignore them. Aomine drops his dictionary that he’s been holding upside down for the past ten minutes and glares at them.

Akashi raises his eyes from his homework. “Ryouta, your atempts to distract me from tutoring you are getting out of hand.”

“No, I mean not married, for real, but married for the tax benefits,” Kise insists.

Akashi sighs and closes his book. ‘Do you even know what that means?”

“Not really, but you’re rich, so it sounds like a good thing…?.”

Akashi stares at him and scratches his chin as if he’s actually considering it. He decides to humor Kise a little more. “And what’s in there for me?”

Kise smirks. “I’m drop dead  gorgeous, so I’d be one hell of a trophy husband.”

Akashi smiles a little at the way Kise wiggles his eyebrows, but before he can say anything else, Aomine barks, “no!”

“Why not?” Akashi quirks an eyebrow. “Ryouta has an impressive argument.”

“Stop fooling around,” Aomine shoves Kise out of the way and ignores Kise’s pained wail, so he can sit in front of Akashi instead. “We’re here to study, not for your stupid jokes. Oi, Akashi, if you have time to be dumb with Kise, teach me this.” And he pushes the first book he could get his hands on to Akashi.

Akashi grins, amused. Kise gets up and starts whining at Aomine for being such a wet blanket and Akashi just watches without interfering, letting Midorima get angry at them for being noisy in the library.
