There is a playlist on Spotify called âYou and Meâ. I have decided to start a loosely affiliated drabble series based on these songs - one for each song. This drabble is part of that series.Â

âThe tickets will be waiting for you at the box office,â you could hear Tylerâs smile through the phone, âso make sure you bring an ID to pick them up.â
âOf course,â you tried to sound excited through the pain.
âAnd I assumed you would be bringing Marie, so there are two tickets,â his voice changed from excited to concerned.
âThanks,â you count out the painkillers in your head before picking them up from the counter.
âAre you alright?â his voice was small, âyou seem distant.â
âOh, Iâm sorry,â you wince, you werenât doing as good a job as you thought, âI just have a headache is all.â
âAnother one?â his voice was serious now, âyou had one just the other day too.â
âItâs just stress from work, is all,â you pop the pills into your mouth, âpromise.â
âAs long as you are taking care of yourself,â he seemed to relax.
âI am,â you quickly swallowed a glass of water.
âIâm so excited to see you,â Tyler said softly, âitâs been too long.â
âYeah,â you smiled. It had been almost a year since the last time the two of you had spoken face to face - too long. While you had been close since about your sophomore year of high school, this growing thing between the two of you had never really been addressed. You didnât keep in touch with other friends from fifteen years ago like you did him, and there was something that wasnât there before. It sat between the words you did manage to say, like a weight on a scale, tipping your feelings in his direction.
âIâm going to let you go, so you can get some rest, okay?â he yawned.
âOkay,â you resisted the urge to yawn as well.
âGood night, Y/N,â he paused for a moment. âSleep well, Lollipop.â
You felt your heart skip a beat, he hadnât used that name for you since before the band had gotten big. It had been years.
âYou too, Maverick,â you returned the gesture, hoping it sent some of your feelings silently over the phone.
âSee ya.â
âYeah, see ya,â you hear the silence settle on the other end before lowering your phone from your ear.
You would talk to him tomorrow after the show. You had to. About everything.
Tyler threw his arms in the air, the roar from the crowd washed over the stage like a breaking wave.
Another glance over his shoulder, towards the side of the stage - the tech shook his head.
Feeling his heart drop a little lower, his fingers found the keys for the next song and he shook his head, a little harder than normal to adjust his thoughts. He needed to be here, to be in the now - these people had come for a show and he would give them one. They were important and should be his priority. But the empty stage left, and the unclaimed backstage passes slowly ate away at him as the night wore on.
âThis next song is for my main man, Josh,â he pushed through, he always did.
âWhatâs going on, man?â Josh wiped down his face with the white towel. âYouâve been off tonight.â
âIâm sorry,â Tylerâs fingers massaged his forehead. âShe didnât show up.â
âY/N?â Josh frowned as his shoulders fell, âso, Marie didnât either?â
âNo,â Tylerâs voice was quiet.
âYou should call them,â Josh put the towel down and stretched his sides, âsomething might have happened to them.â
âYeah,â Tyler dug through his dressing room bag, âI just hope theyâre alright.â
âIâm sure itâs nothing serious-â Josh was cut short by the look on his bandmates face, âwhat is it?â
âI have sixteen missed calls from Marie,â Â he rubbed the back of his head as he pulled up the voicemails, âI think I might need to go.â
âYeah man,â Josh watched Tyler pace as he listened to the panicked sound in Marieâs voice over the phone.
Tylerâs eyes were wide as he jumped between messages. âSheâs at Wexner,â he cut off Marieâs last message, âletâs go.â
He paused in the doorway of the small hospital room. It was dark except for the small fluorescent light near the bed. Marie turned in her chair to look at them, there were tears in her eyes. She bit her bottom lip before turning back around.
Tyler slowly crossed the room. Stopping at the end of the bed.
And Iâll use you as a warning sign.
That if you talk enough sense, then youâll lose your mind.
âShe looks so small,â his voice was barely audible. The number of things hooked up to your body was overwhelming. âWhat happened?â
âThey think she blacked out,â Marieâs hands were in her lap, she was wringing them together, âshe ran a light and hit a tree.â
And Iâll use you as a focal point.
So I donât lose sight of what I want.
âBlacked out?â Josh stood behind Marie, resting a hand on her shoulder gently, âis that something she does?â
âItâs happened a few times before,â Marie glanced up at him. Tears ran fresh down her face, âI should have taken an hour off work,â she began to gasp for air, fighting back sobs, âI should have driven her. She had been having headaches, I knew it wasnât good for her to be driving alone.â
âHey, hey,â Josh came around the chair, âthis isnât your fault.â He took her hands in his.
Marie was trying to regain composure.
And I've moved further than I thought I could
But I missed you more than I thought I would
Tylerâs hands slowly found their way towards yours, âshe had a headache last night.â
âDid she?â Marie wiped her cheeks, âyou should tell the nurse when she comes back. She didnât mention it to me, so I wasnât sure when her last one was.â
âWhy was she getting headaches?â Tylerâs fingers wrapped around yours, âwhat are they from?â
âShe was in a really bad car accident almost a year ago,â Marieâs hands squeezed Joshâs, âthe Doctorâs arenât sure why she keeps having them, or why sheâs blacking out. Sheâs been getting tests done.â
âWhy didnât she say anything to me?â Tylerâs eyes began to fill with tears. He continued to stare at your face, all bruised and cut up from the collision.
And I'll use you as a makeshift gauge
Of how much to give and how much to take
âYou were touring,â Marie sighed, âshe didnât want to burden you. It seems silly now, but she was so determined not to be a bother. Not to dissuade you from what you were doing.â
Tyler clenched his jaw, âyeah that sounds like her.â
Marie stood up, âIâm going to go get some coffee. Give you some time with her.â
âIâll go with you,â Josh trailed after her. âThat is,â he paused and glanced at Tyler, âif youâll be okay.â
He only nodded.
I'll use you as a warning sign
That if you talk enough sense then you'll lose your mind
âYouâre an idiot,â he mumbled to the room, âyou should have told me.â
He leaned forward and rested his forehead against the back of your hand.
âIf you donât wake up from this,â his voice caught in his throat, âIâll never forgive you, you know.â
He felt some pressure as your hand gently squeezed his. He looked up. Your eyes were still closed but he could tell you were listening.
âI sang a song for you tonight,â he ran his finger tips over your knuckles, âitâs an old one, Iâm sure youâll remember it.â
He inhaled and began to sing, his voice quivering, âThe only difference between life and dying, is one is trying, that's all we're called to do. So try to love me and I'll try to save you. Won't you stay alive? I'll take you on a ride, I will make you believe you are lovely.â
And I found love where it wasn't supposed to be
Right in front of me
Talk some sense to me
Reader is really into Tyler coe and is trying to find the right time to ask him out but every time she gets him alone someone pops in unexpectedly
You couldnât stop the blushing and stumbling over words when youwere around Tyler. As much as you tried to hide it, there was no way you denythat you found him gorgeous, sweet, funny, and a hint of irresistible. At leastthatâs what you remember telling the girls when you were drunk that evening.
Somehow you managed to convince yourself to ask him out. Just fordrinks after work. You reassured yourself as you summed up the courage to speakto him. For once the kitchen was empty and you mumbled to yourself as you madecoffee âHey Y/N, what number coffee is that?â Tyler asked.
You nearly spilled the scalding liquid over yourself âOh Iâve lostcount! Hey Tyler I was just wondering somethingâŠâ
You took a deep breath but were interrupted by someone âTyler, weneed you on set!â
âWhat did you want to ask me?â Tyler asked.
âItâs ok, nothing important. Iâll catch you later!â you added anawkward wave but slapped your forehead with the hand once Tyler was gone.
You tried another couple of times through out the week, but everytime the were about the leave your mouth some disrupted the conversation.
You had nearly given up as you swigged from a beer on a Friday night. You had joined your colleagues at the pool bar after some convincing fromBarbara âY/N, I need an opponent,â Tyler suggested.
âGo on,â Barbara whispered, giving you a gentle shove from the booth.
One game of pool led to two, you tried to concentrate on your nextmove. But you had to admit, being around Tyler was distracting âY/N, I want toask you something,â Tyler began.
âDo you want to go for a drink? Just the two of us?â you askedfirst.
âI mean I was going to ask you to dinnerâŠbut drinks and dinner?âhe suggested. You nodded, and managed to pot a ball with your new confidence.
Today was finally here. You and your boyfriend, Josh, were on your way to a Fall Out Boy concert. Since Josh was, well, Josh, he was granted backstage passes and the two of you were going to watch the show from there as well. Josh knew how much you liked them which is why he bought the tickets in the first place. He also knew about your little crushes on Pete and Patrick, but you knew you would choose Josh over them any day. But that didnât stop the jealousy that flickered in him every now and then. Your cat pulled into the back, away from all the commotion up front. The two of you were rushed inside and started walking to the area the band was practicing at. âJosh! Hey!â Pete says, walking over and hugging him. âAnd you must be the lovely girlfriend weâve heard a lot aboutâ He says, smiling at you. You were completely starstruck. You just smiled and nodded, suddenly not able to form any of your words. âIs she okay?â Patrick asks, seeming genuinely concerned. You felt your face flush, suddenly realized you were just staring at them and not moving or speaking. âOh, yeah, no. Iâm fineâ you say, reassuringly. âSheâs a big fan of you guysâ Josh says, a bit of salt behind his words. âJosh!â You say, feeling even more embarrassed. âItâs okay, Iâd rather you be like this then screaming in my faceâ Pete jokes, obviously trying to lighten the mood. You all talk for a bit longer, until the time comes for them to go on stage. âHope you guys enjoy the show!â They tell the both of you, before heading out. You and Josh go and stand on the side stave, and jam out to the music. Mostly you, Josh was seemingly mad. You both donât say anything for a while, but Josh finally speaks. âSo are you trying to make me jealous?â He asks, leaning down to your ear so you could hear him. âNo, what? I barely said anything to them anywayâ You reply. âBut your actions spoke for youâ he said. And that was the end of the conversation. The set continues on, and Josh seems to lighten up and start having a better time. As the set nears to a close, you and Josh go back to the area you had started in and sit down to cool off. You sit in an uncomfortable silence until Josh grabs your hand. âListen, Iâm sorry for going off on you, I just know you like them so muchâ he says, rubbing circles on your hand with his thumb. âJosh, itâs fine.â You reply reassuringly. You had thought it was incredibly hot when he got mad, the dark look in his eyes, his building brings, his clenched jaw, everything. But of course, youâd never admit that. The two of you stood up when they came back to the backstage area and congratulated the boys for their performance. âIt was so good. It was great being here and watching you guys. Thanks for having me.â You say, hugging each of them. âDonât worry about it. We loved having you here. Josh as well, alwaysâ Pete says. Josh nods and wraps an arm around your waist. âWhat are you two doing now?â Patrick asks. Josh opens his mouth, but youâre quick to cut him off. âNothing. What are you guys doing?â You say, probably a bit too excitedly. âWe usually just hang out around here for a bit, you guys are welcome to stayâ Patrick says, sitting down on a couch. You nod and look at Josh pleadingly, before he sighs and sits down with all of you. You remember how riled Josh had been, so you decide to take it a step further. You were very openly flirting with them, but not too much to the point they would notice or where it would be crossing a line. But just enough so Josh would know. âYeah, you guys are probably my favorite band. Iâve loved listening to you ever since you started, honestlyâ you say, leaning towards the other boys, sure to be showing off cleavage. Pete looked down, and smiled to himself. âThat means a lotâ he says, cheeks turning a bit red. âOf courseâ you say, placing a hand on his knee. Almost immediately, Josh stands up and pulls you with him. âOkay, hate to cut this short, but we should probably get back to our hotelâ he says. You rush your goodbyes to the men, before fallowing closely behind Josh, with his tight grip on you. Once youâre outside the area and thereâs no one around, Josh pushes you against the wall and blocks you in with his arms. He pushes his hips into yours and looks deep into your eyes. âI bet you thought you were being so fucking cute in there.â He says, searching for a reaction. âJosh. Itâs not a big deal. It was just friendlyâ You say. Josh chuckles darkly. âJust friendly, huh?â He says. He moves his hips away from yours slightly, but is quick to slide his hand down the front of your pants, fingers finding their way to your wetness almost immediately. You gasp at the sudden movements and grab Joshâs shoulders. âJosh, someone could come out any minute, just-â you start, but he cuts you off. âThen who got you this wet?â He asks, fingers sliding between your folds. You hit the wall with your head before sucking in a shaky breath. âItâs you..â you say. He looks deep in your eyes once more, before pulling his hands out, sliding them in his mouth. Without saying a word, he walks off, heading to the car. You stand there for a moment, not sure what just happened, but quickly run after him, getting in the car after he does. You two werenât alone in the car, so it was silent the entire way back. Once they drop you off, the two of you get out, heading to your room without a word shared. Josh opens the door and shuts it, quick to pick you up, wrapping your legs around him, and attaching his lips to yours. He carries you over to the bed, the kiss passionate as ever. He lays lays you down gently on the bed, but stands back up straight. He stares at you for a moment, before speaking. âStripâ he says. You stare at him for a moment, before beginning to take off everything. Once youâre completely naked, he takes off his belt, tying it to your hands then the bed. He takes off his own shirt and pants, before crawling onto the bed, stoping at your hips, and places one if your legs over his shoulder. He latches his mouth onto your clit sucking and licking fast. You let out a string of moans, followed by your hips bucking to him. âAdd your fingers.â You say softly. After a moment of him continuing on without doing as you asked. âJosh, I said-â âI fucking heard you. But youâre not in controlâ he said, continuing what he was doing once again. He eventually stops what he was doing all together, moving up to where your head was, and kissing you, letting you taste yourself. Josh sits up on his knees, taking off his underwear and positioning himself between your legs, resting them on his thighs. He rubs himself along your folds, before immediately diving into the hilt, causing you to groan and arch your back. âSay my nameâ He says, picking up his pace. âJosh, fuckâ you say between groans. âThatâs right. Whoâs making you feel this good?â He says, grabbing onto your hips to push you further down onto him. âYou are Josh. Only you.â You say. Josh reaches up and undoes the belt, letting your hands free. You go to touch him, but heâs quick in flipping you onto your hands and knees. He brings a hand down hard on your butt, earning a gasp from you. âFor flirting with Patrickâ Smack. âPeteâ Smack. âAnd especially doing it in front of meâ he says, giving you one final hit, before slipping himself back inside you. Your hands gripped at the sheets, as he was going harder and faster, as if he had something to prove. He grabs your thighs and pulls you with each thrust to match his, hitting you in a new area. You moan loudly with each thrust, the soft groans coming from Josh turning you on more. Josh reaches a hand around to your clit, rubbing hard and fast to help get you off. âJosh!â You scream out as your orgasm is in full throttle, shaking your whole body. He finishes soon after you, helping to ride both out. He slides himself out, before resting on his back and breathing heavily. You lay next to him, and he wraps an arm around you, as you listen to the silence. âThat was amazingâ you say. âReally? I didnât go too hard?â He asks. âNo, I love when you go hard like that. â You say. You know both of you were smiling intensely.
Could you maybe do #2 on the holiday prompts list (secret Santa) with Tyler Coe if you have time?
just forewarning - im not sure i can write Tyler super well? so i hope i do him justice for you ! <3
âYou know, I had hoped heâd stop this after On the Spot...â You comment to Lindsay, both of you watching in mild horror as Tyler walks around, bumping into nearly everything at the Christmas party and still dressed as Santa.
âI think heâs too far gone.â Lindsay replies. You both watch again as Tyler nearly bulldozes Kerry over, before apologizing in a slurred tone. âRest in pieces, Tyler.â
âLindsay!â You bark out a laugh and she grins.Â
âNow I have to go find Adam, see you!â Lindsay waves before disappearing into the crowd. You scan the crowd and quickly grab yourself another drink. Youâd already given your Secret Santa gift to Miles, a sweater youâd found on Etsy, made by a fan, with the RvB teams as nutcrackers.Â
âY/N! There ya are! Come to pop- Santa! Come to Santa!â You turn around and find yourself face-to-face with the white fluff from Tylerâs santa suit.
âHi, Tyler.â You greet him, finding it nearly impossible to keep a grin off your face.Â
âI need you to come with me, sweetheart, Iâve got a present for ya.â Tyler grabs your wrist and starts to tug you down the hallway.
âOkay, okay, slow down!â You trail behind him as he pulls you into his empty office, a present sitting obviously on his desk.
âHey now, wait a second.â Tyler sits down heavily in his chair then pats his lap. âYou gotta sit in Santaâs lap to get the present.â  You stare him down for a long moment while he just watches you with a grin on his face, patting his lap again. You sigh, roll your eyes, then try to sit gently on his lap...at least until he grabs you âround the waist and pulls you down.
âAlright, Santa, whereâs my present?â You complain. Tyler grins at you then gestures to where youâre sitting on his lap.
âThis is your present, youâre not enjoying it?â Tyler asks, wiggling his eyebrows.
âTyler!â You sputter. He laughs and shakes his head.
âNo, no, itâs on my desk.â You smack him lightly on the chest then reach over and grab the present.Â
Itâs pretty well wrapped and as you pull the paper off, you reveal a flat box. Pulling that open, youâre faced with a pile of white and red...lace? Lifting it out of the box, you finally connect the dots: itâs a Christmas themed lingerie set.
âI was thinkinâ we could leave early, you could change into that pretty little set, and take care of your Mr.Claus.â Tyler says huskily into your ear, earning shivers.
âTyler!â You sputter again, smacking him harder and definitely turning red.Â
"I think I'm in love with you and I'm terrified." with Tyler Coe? And maybe you're terrified because you're ridiculously inexperienced when it comes to relationships and you don't want to mess it up?
âWill you go out with me?â Tyler asked, staring intently at you. Your heart was pounding so loud in your ears that you couldnât hear anything else. You couldnât bring yourself to even open your mouth, you were so shocked. âY/N?â
âI - I just...really?â You finally manage, feeling breathless and on fire.
âAbsolutely.â Tyler answers. He reaches out to take your hand and you let his fingers brush yours before you pull back, breath stuck in your throat.
âI - I donât know, Ty...â You two had been friends for so long itâd seemed, longer than long, and now... âIâm scared.â
âOf what? Iâd never do anything to hurt you.â Tyler reassures you. His hands twitch as if he wants to reach out and hold you, but remembering your reaction from earlier, he keeps them to himself.Â
âI know, I know. Just...I think Iâm in love with you and Iâm terrified.â You admit, eyes wide and throat closing up. âI know I shouldnât tell you that, weâre not even dating, but I do, Tyler, I already love you so much.â
âAnd thatâs why I asked you out, Y/N.â Tyler says, pulling you gently to him now and leaning his forehead against yours. âBecause I love you too.â
cute high school au Tyler with "From the first time i walked you home from school you stole my heart."???
The day had been cold and dreary, and frankly you had dreaded walking home all day until one boy, the guy who always would tease you in Pre-Calc and shamelessly flirt with you to get a rise out of you, decided to escort you home. Umbrella in hand, he walked in close proximity to you and let you take his jacket.
âYou handling the weather okay?â he asked, concern instead of his usual smirk marking his face. âDo you want me to move the umbrella over, or are you getting too cold? We can always slip into a coffee shop or something to warm up or-â
Without thinking, you stop mid-step and reach up to plant a small kiss on the boy, Tylerâs, face. Blushing, you listen to him let out a shaky laugh laced with southern drawl and feel yourself gravitate closer to him.Â
A/N: Itâs been so long since I posted, apologies! This is an older fic I wrote, I tweaked it a bit so hopefully itâs still alright. Iâm working on more! <3 you all.

Summary: Your best friend comes home.Â
âNo, Iâm cooking dinner right now. I donât know whether itâs supposed to rain tomorrow or not.â You said to your mom as you reached for the salt. You were making a welcome home dinner for your best friend, Tyler, who was on his way back from a work trip.
âItâs Austin mom, it barely rains. Iâve got to go, heâll be here soon.â
âFine dear. Call me tomorrow and give Tyler a kiss!â
âMOM,â you groaned, âHe and I are just friends and you know that.â
âSure sure,â your mom said back with a hint of sarcasm, âTalk to you later, love you.â
âLove you too mom, Bye.â
You moved to Texas 2 years ago when you were offered an internship at a radio station. Fresh out of college, you rented an apartment to get a sense of the real world. You started working just down the street and one day this (gorgeous) guy came in and chatted up the sports announcers like he was their best friend. They introduced him as Tyler Coe and he worked for a company called Rooster Teeth Productions. You had heard the name before from your friends back home but hadnât watched their content on your own. As Tyler stuck up a conversation with you, you both had a lot of things in common and quickly became good friends. Tyler left for work but continued to keep in touch and soon you were friends with him and his coworkers. When he finished work for the week, you two spent a majority of the time together catching up. Now two years later, he was coming back from a month long convention trip in Australia and your apartment was his first stop.
âOUCH!â you exclaimed while reaching into the oven without a mitt. âWhat was I thinkiâŠâ
There was a knock on the door followed by keys turning in the lock.
âHONEY IâM HOME!â Tyler yelled bursting his way through the door.
âHey there Mr. Internet!â you shouted back while running to hug him.
He pulled you in for one of his crushing hugs.
âNone of that stuff please. Iâve had enough of that for a while.â He laughed.
âFine, fine,â you said, âHow was it?â
âAmazing, just missed you and the friends a ton.â
âI missed you too. I made you a welcome home dinner, and burned myself in the processâ You told him laughing it off.
âNot surprising, Miss Clumsy.â
âThanks, Tyler.â
âListen, before dinner, I need to tell you something.â
By the look on his face, you knew something serious was about to come out of his mouth.
âWhatâs up?â
âLook while I was down under I was thinking about someone. Someone who means a lot to me, and who Iâve started to fall in love with. I just donât know how sheâll react and Iâm worried she wonât feel the same.â
âWhoever she is Tyler, Iâm sure sheâll feel the same way because youâre an amazing person and deserve the best.â
He reached down, grabbed your hands out of your lap and put them in his. âWill you help me then?â
âOf course, what do you need me to do?â
âJust react to what Iâm about to say.â
He tightened the grip on your hands and looked down into your eyes.
âIâve known you for a long time Y/N and I realized Iâve had strong feelings for you from the first time we met. I love you.â
âGood Tyler! Now you just need to say that to the girl.â You whispered since he was so close.
He looked at you again, and out of his mouth came âI just did.â
Your mouth dropped open and you gasped. âSeriously Tyler? Câmon quit joking.â
âIâm not,â He said, âI really do love you.â
Startled by his statement you stood up off the couch and started to pace around to the back.
He got up and followed you all the while saying âSee I shouldnât have told you because I had this feeling you just wouldnât feel the same.â You heard the emotion in his voice. He stopped when he got to you, and you put your hands on his arms.
âTyler, no⊠Itâs not what you thinkâ You looked into his eyes, saying what you wanted to tell him for years now.
âIâm shocked. I never knew you felt that way about me. Iâve been keeping my own secret for years. The minute I met you in the radio station, I knew I had fallen in love. I was terrified to tell you because I thought you didnât feel the same.â
âYouâre kidding.â He laughed and pulled you in for a hug.
âNot kidding. Not kidding at allâ You said into his chest.
You backed up just enough to see his face, to see the love in his eyes. He leaned down and your lips connected in what is the most amazing, heartfelt kiss youâd ever had.
Once the kiss broke, he leant his forehead onto yours and said it again, the words you couldnât wait to hear.
