Moving on from the Etherites, here's Tylith from Other World, which is from a dream I had.

More ocs March Day 8- Tylith

Waring kingdoms of winged humans live on the Airin Continent. The main kingdoms are 6 different dragonwing kingdoms (Pyro, Hydro, Aero, Terra, and Night), the 4 birdflight kingdoms (Apex, Flyer, Singer, and Scavengers), and the smaller Batwing kingdom. The war was started by lack of resources within the continent, with all the tribes competing for survival.

One day, the Nightdragon kingdom finds a group of insect winged humans (specifically damselflies) who are from a large island, far from the Airin continent. The group of four are the prince, his boyfriend, and his two best friends, who had been caught in a storm and washed up on one of the nightdragon outposts.

Unlike the other winged humans, the insectwings are able to use magic, their power shown by the color/iridescence of their wings.

The leader of the Nightwing tribe wants to use this magic to win the war, so he kidnaps the Prince and his friends, who must try to escape this new and strange place.

The damselflies are part of the insectwings, but aren't exactly their own separate kingdom. All of the different insectwings live together and have different monarchs that represent them in a council. Tylith is prince of the damselflies, but that doesn't mean other insectwings will hate him because he is one.

Regarding magic, the magic system works like this. You cannot use magic by yourself, it's too powerful and uncontrollable. Instead, you must direct it into an object, enchanting it. The enchanted object preforms the magic for you.

Now, info on the story.

Tylith is the prince of the damselflies, who have also been affected by a resource shortage. Looking for another place that the insectwings could move to, he and many others are sent out. Unfortunately, their ship is caught in a storm and they end up on the main continent. Tylith and his friends are one group of survivors (they don't know where the others are). They are discovered by a group of Nightdragons, who capture them and send them up to the Night King. He is very interested in them, regarding them as specimens, rather than human, and wants to unlock the key to their magic to win the war. Or use the damselfly prince as a hostage to force others to do his bidding.

He's about 18 years old, 7 years away from taking the title of King at 25 years old if my math is wrong, sorry. I'm only half awake. Tylith is a very caring person. He finds it very hard to hate someone, even if they've done something terrible. He will know that they're bad and will give them necessary consequences, but is still empathetic. He also is a hard worker, but it can be bad sometimes. He feels guilty if he's taking a break because 'he could be doing something useful' (basically JaidenAnimation's video on overworking and burning out). Tylith is pan and trans. He also has been mute since birth. That hasn't affected him much on the insectwing continent, but on the main continent it does, as the resource shortage is worse, so those that don't 'serve a purpose' are often tossed aside because others think they're less important.
