i think in the tarkin novel it implies vader is salty towards tarkin for ahsoka's trial but i haven't really read the novel just heard things abt it. tarkin has hunch over vader's identity. tbh i kind of liked tarkin and anakin getting well together in the citadel arc for the grimness, but yeah that's out the window by ANH

Oh I thought Tarkin definitely knew that Darth Vader was Anakin? I think because in ANH Vader refers to Obi-Wan as his old master while talking to Tarkin. I haven’t read the Tarkin novel either. I’m a little bitter about him getting a novel instead of Ahsoka. I might skim a PDF of it at some point to read any scenes with Vader in them. But anyway that’s interesting… if Vader is sill salty over Tarkin’s treatment of Ahsoka it feeds into my belief that he’s not all “must kill Ahsoka” and should offer her the same sort of lines he gave Padme and Luke before they fight.
