While Anakin is ecstatic that Luke, Leia, and Rex get along, he’s downright shocked by how quickly Rex adapts to them to the point where he parents them flawlessly. Maybe it’s because he has a lot of younger brothers, but Rex is a natural with Luke and Leia. 

He also happens to spend all of his time around Anakin with them. The moment he visit Anakin, he’s completely distracted by Luke and Leia and often gives them his full attention. Obi-Wan jokes that Rex parents the kids more than he dates Anakin. 

Long story short, Anakin strategically alters his dates with Rex so that Luke and Leia are with Ahsoka, Trace, & Rafa instead of him. The first few times he could tell Rex was looking for them, Rex even asked. But eventually, Anakin finally gets Rex to himself.

But look what the Separatists did to one of our people! They took away his freedom, his humanity. They tried to turn him into a machine. The Techno Union claims it’s neutral, but they have chosen sides. Now your people have to choose.

Hello! As a tribute to Storyteller Saturday (and as a thank you for following me!), I am sneaking into all of my followers’ inboxes to ask a WIP-related question. Here’s one for you: What song lyrics do you associate with your favorite OC and why? (Feel free to replace "favorite OC" with "favorite MC in your current fanfic" if you prefer!)

Oh!! I’m writing several fanfics, but one I’m particularly centered on is a fic I won’t post for a while, titled Risk Versus Reward. It’s a Star Wars The Clone Wars fic for the extremely rare pair Anakin and Rex (Anirex or Rexwalker).

My song for Rex has gotta be Boys Like You by Anna Clendening.

Basically, this is because Rex can tell there’s something there, but he’s too afraid to reach out and grab it to fond out what it is- he’s unsure of Anakin’s intentions, unsure of how a relationship might work, and unsure whether he wants to risk getting hurt. So when you hold my hand, do you wanna hold my heart? When you say you want me, is it all of me of just one part?

And still he keeps stepping on closer and then backing away. Takin’ me for a ride, tellin’ me pretty little lies, but with you I can’t resist.

And finally he finds it in himself to take that leap. But for you, for you, for you I’ll take that risk.
