The world in which tynisa is blonde may kill me, but that might just be me

To satisfy whatever bug needs I have, I made her a whipless tail scorpion, an arachnid with raptorial pedipalps which I associate a lot to a mantis' raptorial arms, in my mind it seemed like the best thing to make her (specifically phrynus whitei because I thought they were cutie)

I went a bit crazy, do forgive me if this is like completely going against everything it's what I see when I read her interview scene

Also tisamon, you can tell he's my favourite because when he showed back up (I'm still like 80% through empire of black and gold), I could NOT shut up about it

And because he's a mantis and I love mantids

I made him this one mantis from Africa that i LOVED (not my favourite, phyllocrania paradoxa, since I can't see a man of that species ever being as sharp and serious and shit as tisamon)

In my dream world, tisamon has long hair he ties up, because seeing him with short hair feels wrong

Oh and they have like palps and antennae and stuff because I love that in even my own ocs, I luv bugs

I have a salma and che design somewhere that I'll fish out, and Totho is still in the cauldron of my mind

Tisamon is bringing up his daughter the best way he knows how. By teaching her that waving swords at things is ALWAYS the best approach. (can't stop drawing these characters as bugs send help)
