these are probably my two favorite pictures from the exhibition. I still going through them, but these gave me a sense of tranquility. for me these pictures tell a visual story about Taehyung acting like a cage for his own feelings. the sharp spiked hair and the strong low crouch (love a good asian squad) are like a tough outer shell meant to show the world someone who is "tough" to break. but the bright blue makeup around the eyes is a sign of the bluebird hidden inside him.. a soft and secret part of himself that he usually keeps locked away. while the first pose looks alert and ready to fight, the second pose shows a quiet moment of sadness or relief when he finally lets his guard down. this again shows the soft and hard looks he can switch through easily, and it makes people uncomfortable because he can’t be boxed into their well-sorted black and white filter.. I am obsessed with him exploring, challenging, and defying who he is as a person. We will never know Taehyung fully we will always only see the thousand sides he is ready to show. A true artist. A true icon.. A true legend.
