And 5. “Wait a minute. Are you jealous?” with AePete would be marvelous! (take your time or skip if you don't feel like it ^^)
When Pete got out of class that day, it was earlier than usual. One of the professors hadn’t been able to come to lecture, and so they were are all freed earlier. Pete’s first thought was to surprise Ae at the soccer field, so he bought a few snacks, a water bottle and then headed there, a smile plastered across his delicate face.
As the IC student got there, though, he was the one to be surprised. There were several boys around, all dressed in the white and blue uniform, but the one he was there for was nowhere to be seen at first glance. Looking around with the plastic bag in hands, Pete finally spotted Ae. The other male was sat on a bench, looking up at one of his older teammates that Pete was yet to meet, but that was not the problem, the problem was that the senior was ruffling Ae’s hair and Ae was smiling up at him shyly.
Seeing that scene made Pete’s insides churn with a strange feeling. He didn’t like it one bit, and after all of the trouble he had gone with Chompoo, he really didn’t want another “rival” so soon after that. As if following a mind of their own, his feet led him to where Ae was with the other guy. “Ai’Ae!” He greeted, and then turned to pay respect to the older member of the soccer, whom he didn’t know was the captain, Techno, which easily smiled at him, greeting Pete back. Ae, for his part, had some sort of stoic expression upon seeing Pete there, specially seeing as the IC student looked bothered by something, a turmoil of emotions flashing on his face. “What is wrong?” Ae asked, already getting up and moving to cup Pete’s cheeks, looking at the boy’s face with careful attention. The IC student, driven by shyness, blushed on the spot. “Ai’Ae, who is him?” Pete asked, shyly pointing at Techno. Ae frowned slightly because of the way in which Pete looked at the captain of the soccer team. It was full of mistrust and wariness, and he couldn’t fathom that someone would ever look at P’No like that given the senior’s easygoing personality and general softness.
Before Ae could respond to the question, P’Type came trotting towards them, his arms coiling around Techno from behind and his chin coming to rest at the captain’s shoulder. “What are you doing here being a third wheel to the freshman when your boyfriend was there in the field waiting for you to come back?” He said with a stern face, but from his tone, everyone could tell he was only teasing Techno. Pete did the wai towards the newcomer, but he was clearly taken aback and his face was slowly being filled with relief. “Ai’Type! Don’t talk to me like that in front of the freshmen.” The captain complained, but as he did so, Type started tugging Techno back to the field, leaving Ae and Pete alone.
Once the seniors were gone, Pete smiled at Ae, a more genuine expression and extended the plastic bag towards the soccer player. “I brought snacks for you.” He announced, but Ae still felt that Pete had acted strangely with P’No. The more he thought about it, the less he could understand. “Why did you act so weirdly with P’No?” He asked, after all, Ae was a very straightforward person and didn’t like beating around the bush. Heat rose to Pete’s cheeks once again as soon as he heard the question. “He was touching Ae’s hair and Ae was smiling at him.” He explained in a low tone, almost a whisper, and his gaze fell to the grass patch under their feet. The response only made Ae frown again. It took him a moment to understand, but when he did, he placed a finger under Pete’s chin and raised it to make the IC student look at him. “Wait a minute... Are you jealous?” Pete’s eyes widened at that, and it was response enough. Chuckling lightly, Ae pinched Pete’s cheeks. “Don’t worry about that, Ai’Koon-Chai. I only like you.”
