SOILER ALERT, Jake dies at the end. That is all.
Long story (somewhat) short, Jake (33) and Damon (35) were mercenaries with their asses constantly being covered by their lawyer-cousin, Angel (43). The boys started young, at the ripe age of 14 and 16, shortly after Damon got his license to drive, which is unimportant I suppose. They lived in a crappy apartment that Angel rented out for them under his name for ten years, after Jake married his wife, Natalia (@typewritxr), whom he met and started dating at the age of 17.
Jake moved out, leaving Damon behind to live his life to the fullest with his bride. He had two kids, Victoria and Alexander, who were unaware of their father’s “career” choice and began to fit in with society…sort of…thanks to Natalia. He’d regularly go out to the local pub, where he met his best friend Felix, ex-marine and of Irish decent—now a bartender. Felix owned the bar and lived in the flat above it, where he and Jake usually hung out after-hours.
In the meantime, Damon was making…other plans. Seeing Jake maintain a fulfilling life while juggling his job as an assassin placed a seed of envy within him, rage boiled at the reminder that Jake had abandoned him. He hired other mercenaries, along with his pride and joy, Dimitri (@typewritxr). Damon had long since abandoned their old apartment (that Angel was still paying for) and moved into an abandoned warehouse, where for nine years he built his empire. Soon enough, he was a leader of sorts among the other mercenaries, the warehouse now a hub. With this newfound power, Damon became confident and sent Dimitri out to retrieve…
Ex-marine, remember? Well…Felix was a trained sniper. Suffered from PTSD. Wouldn’t be too terribly difficult to…train him. By way of torture, that is.
Damon sent out two other mercenaries to fetch Jake’s children, using them as bait to come to the warehouse, where Felix had been commanded to stand by in the rafters. When Jake came to retrieve his kids…BAM. Jake was killed in front of his wife (who had followed him) and his kids. Where was Angel in all of this?
Well, Angel is smart. VERY smart. It didn’t take him long to notice what Damon was cooking up after stopping by the apartment and found it empty. Pissed (rightfully so, he’d been paying out the ASS for that shitty apartment), he tracked him, and witnessed Dimitri kidnap Felix while doing so (Felix saw him 😊 ). Once he found out what was happening, in an attempt to hide his plans, Damon ordered Dimitri to kill him. But they were too late. Angel had already warned Jake about what was going to happen. Since Felix saw Angel witness what was going on, he knew that Angel would warn Jake, thus…
Military sniper Felix “missed” his target.
He didn’t die that night, but for years no one could know he survived. At least not until Damon was overthrown. Victoria and Alexander obviously found out what their dad did for a living after that though.
