So there's something I've been immensely confused about regarding Dooku, and would love to know if anyone has any insight. In season 6 episode 10, "The Lost One," Dooku confronts Obi-Wan and Anakin after they find Silman. They exchange this dialog:
Anakin: Dooku! For once you actually came to do your own dirty work.
Dooku: Sometimes things are just that important.
Pyke: You have no business left with the Pykes, Tyranus.
Obi-Wan: Tyranus? You are the man called Tyranus?
Dooku: I told you everything you needed to know on Geonosis all those years ago, Kenobi.
So the Jedi clearly didn't know that Dooku was a full-blown Sith until then. But he'd been using a red lightsaber for the whole war, and I'm under the impression that only Sith use bleeding kyber crystals.
Am I missing something, or is SW just being weird and inconsistent again? XD;

So I’ve been looking at the Sith Order recently...
Am I the only one who sees a very consistent pattern with many of these Sith Lords? How each of them has a very, very specific negative trait that acts as a theme for them?
- Darth Sion’s is obviously pain. I mean, he’s called “The Lord of Pain,” and it’s what holds him together.
- Maul’s is Rage. After his “death” in The Phantom Menace, it’s his rage towards Obi-Wan that keeps him alive and allows him to find ways to rebuild himself.
- Vadar’s is fear. Fear of losing his mother is what started on the path of the Dark Side. Fear of losing Padme solidified it. Fear of Sidious kept him there.
- Sidious’s is control. During the clone wars, and even further back during the blockade of Naboo, he pulls the strings of both sides and orchestrating a winning scenario for himself, no matter what the outcome of the conflict.
- Nihilus's trait is hunger, which is unique because hunger isn't negative. It's a need. But Nihilus's hunger almost has the mark of an addict. He consumes and consumes and yet is never filled.
There are others I've hard of whose names I don't remember, who stand for things like Greed and Betrayal. And there are also many others whose names we know who don’t seem to embody a primordial force like the ones above, such as Tyranus, Plageous, Valkorion, and Exar Kun.
What do you guys think?

hello! sorry if your question about the jedi knowing dooku was tyrannus was answered, but I couldn't tell if anyone replied to your post. So! my personal take is that the jedi know dooku is a sith, but they didn't know his sith name was lord tyrannus, for all they knew, that was some other dude and dooku was just count dooku.
Oh yes, thank you! Yeah, a few people chimed in on the comments, and the general consensus was that the Jedi knew Dooku was a Sith, and they knew a dude named Tyranus had hired Jango, but they didn’t know Dooku was Tyranus.
Which a couple people pointed out is kind of odd, since the Jedi saw Jango working for Dooku on Geonosis, so you’d thin they would have put two and two together?
The only possible explanation I can think of is that, because many of them were close to Dooku when he was a Jedi, they were like, "Nooo, he would never!" I mean, if you think about it, they basically did the same thing with Anakin, ignoring all the giant red flags because they loved him and had faith in him?

Another headshot, this time of my character Tyranus. He is the General of Altelador's army, and is one of the antagonists of my story.

someday i will write the fic that lets me explore jango’s relationship with tyranus, but until then i have this, from kingdom:
“There is great unrest within you, Jango Fett,” Tyranus commented idly.
“I just need you to move the tree, thanks,” Jango told him.
