Hey, I dont know if you like scifi but one of my fave series has some bird-stock aliens and I think you might find it interesting! (Also bat-stock, bear-stock, and ape-stock!) Lots of interesting stuff about semantics, neurology and language, diplomacy, and racism. Main character is a literal Virginia hill boy who gets taken in by the bat aliens as a refugee. The author punctures every 'space cadet/alien abduction' trope!

Rebecca Ore, 3 books - "Beoming Alien", "Being Alien", "Human to Human". (Sometimes called "The Tom Red-Clay trilogy".)

It's one of those series that I love that nobody seems to have heard of - I think it's awesome but ymmv!

Hi! A few weeks back, one of the amazing g.o. artists i follow mentioned the idea of starting a discord for new and experienced digital artists. I hoped to join but lost the person's name! By chance was this you, or might you know who it was? I am really enjoying playing with my new csp/tablet, but i just know I'm missing great tricks and making rookie mistakes out of ignorance and not knowing what to google to find the right turorials!

Nah, jk, It might have been me? I don't know if someone already has an art help themed GO server set up, but I was definitely working on one a few weeks ago. It's technically finished, with all the channels and bots in place, ready to be opened to accept members but after seeing some discord drama and becoming a temp mod in another server I quickly realised that I'm most likely not built for moderating and also probably don't have the guts to commit to something like that so the server is currently sitting there, completely empty waiting for me to make up my mind.

Anyone can draw Good Omens?

Anyone but me, it seems... amazing panel by @tyrograph but it was lost on me! I apparently can't even draw basic shapes!

I am so interested to learn you don't "ink" because your linework is great! (scare quotes bc i assume you draw digitally 😊) i work with analog media (i am old) and i often wish there was a way to magically "finalize" my pencils, especially when i have some crosshatching that's really working. Scanning and futzing never works, tracing with pen just looks stilted and dead. Now I'm feeling motivated to finally start learning csp if i can eventually get effects like yours! 😁

thankyou, i appreciate it :) i’m sure there are.. ways to tweak your traditional lines in programs like CSP, but to be honest i’m not very up on modern technology either. i’ve been using like 3-4 drawing tools in Paint Tool SAI for going on 8 years. but i’m also hoping to get around to learning CSP this year, i just know there’s tons of tricks and short cuts that will blow my poor manual using mind haha.

I can't do video edits but is there anyone around who can make a video of Aziraphale/Crowley clips with the music of the Cure's 'Friday I'm in Love'? I've seen the one of Crowley set to Rebel Just For Kicks and it's amazing :)
