One of the best interviews with a Muslim leadership figure, that really keeps dipping into what Islam actually is, rather than assuming Daesh (the Islamic State)’s brand of Islam is mainstream.
I studied Islam, from its dawn forward, as part of my research for my persona in the SCA. To be honest? It’s a toss-up between Eastern animism and Islam if I were to ever go back to organised religion.
But really, the vast majority of religions have the same core tenets, but different methods of execution. I’ve looked at all three major religions, several of their sub-cultures (meaning like Mormanism, which is still Christian, etc), and really...they’re all about the same things, with different rules set.
It’s like someone who thinks the d20 tabletop RPG system is better than the e10 tabletop RPG systems, and another person thinks the d6/West End Games RPG system is better. Hate to tell everyone, but Star Wars has used all of those systems, and basically worked the same way.

Couldn’t sleep due to anxiety. Ended up checking in on TYT, since the time slot has been filled by stuff going on in game.
There was a members only special called “Hostmates”, and JFC, I needed the laughter. TYT needs to do more silly comedy.
Hopefully now I can sleep.
