“iwa-chan,” oikawa glanced over to where you stood, “who’s that?”

you waved over at the two, “hajime! thank you for getting me the manager position!” you smiled, oikawa’s heart was set aflame. the tone in your voice was kind as if you’d spoke to loudly you were afraid you’d scare someone.

“my cousin, she moved here a week ago, and don’t fucking call me that.” iwaizumi glanced at oikawa, “why’re you asking?”

“just wondering,” oikawa’s gaze met yours. you flashed him a grin, making an impulsive move to run over. oikawa semi-panicked, running his hands through his hair to make sure he was presentable.

“you’re tooru, right?” you asked in broken japanese.

iwaizumi shot up, “i told you to use last names first-”

“it’s fine,” oikawa smiled, “tooru’s great, im sure you and i will get along just well.” iwaizumi stood curiously at oikawa’s remark, he didn’t even allow his fans to call him by his first name.

“oh! well im (first & last name)! but (first name) is fine,” you wrapped both hands around one of his, pulling it up to the two of you, “i think we’re going to along great!” you beamed and released his hand.

“go refill the waters or something,” iwaizumi watched you move along.

a sudden cold took over oikawa’s hand, “iwa-chan,” oikawa grinned, “can i ask out your cousin?”

THERE’S  a fine line that semi walks between maintaining & losing his temper, particularly when provoked by shiratorizawa’s younger setter. kageyama may not even realize his own behavior, but that in itself manages to be frustrating. [ he should know to keep his place, respect his elders, & LISTEN rather than confront. they’re basic manners. ]  

still, in moments like this, semi tries to remind himself that kageyama is younger & thus prone to disregarding his surroundings. kids usually act high & mighty because they think they’re unstoppable, & other people must not matter as much. it’s as much his own responsibility as an upperclassman to teach as it is to call him out on his behavior. [ but why does it have to be so aggravating ? ]  “  this guy ... you can’t be serious right now, kageyama.  ”
