When the war had slowed down, then officially came to a halt, Archex admittedly wasn’t sure what he was going to do with himself. And when he saw the excitement fade into a sort of similar realization for Finn, he’d extended an offer for the other man to stay with him until he’d figured out what he was going to do with himself. Admittedly, Archex wasn’t quite certain of much other than the factor that Vi had gone out of her way to secure him a place that doubled as something that could work as a sort of store.

It didn’t take long for Archex to dive right back into carving-- drawing the attention of passing children who tugged on their parents’ sleeve and pointed towards the not-quite-yet-shop in eager excitement. Of course, when he happened across a child all too enchanted by a carving he’d created on a whim to keep his sanity... well, Archex was quite willing to part with most of his carvings. And seeing the joy on the occasional child’s face brought him happiness-- something that became less and less fleeting.

Hazel eyes flick up towards where Finn seemed to be deep in thought-- nimble fingers carefully working in a set of dangerous teeth to the Nexu he’d taken on as of current-- brows furrowing faintly at the sight of the other.

“Hey,” He found himself calling out-- cocking his head to prompt Finn closer, in an attempt to at least distract him from whatever was troubling him at the moment, “You ever considered learning to carve? It’s rather fun once you get the hang of it. The only limit is your imagination.” And, perhaps... how much wood was available.
