U-mos!

U-Mos was very young when the Aether crisis began. He trained in combat from early adolescence, and was personally mentored by sentinel J-Gnk. The "Champion of Aether", A-Kul, was also J-Gnk's student at the time. U-Mos admired her dearly and may even have come to love her in some way, but she perished below Dark Aether's temple on her mission to retrieve the ten keys. Given the losses his people had already suffered in the war, it was not a great shock for U-Mos. Still, he mourned her, and did all he could to honour her when the crisis was over. As he watched Samus on her journey through Aether, he was reminded of A-Kul- though it was somewhat bittersweet.

The Luminoth, after the Ing are defeated, have two new holidays. The first is the anniversary of when the Phazon Seed crashed into the planet, and is meant to honour the dead. Nobody really speaks much on that day, and U-Mos holds a ceremony in the Great Temple.

The second holiday is to celebrate the day when Samus defeated and destroyed the Ing. That day, they always send an invitation to Samus (Who never shows up due to work and awkwardness of being the “savior of Aether”) and have one of the biggest parties known to the Federation.

Thinking about it, given that the Luminoth are interstellar pen pals with the Chozo and about as advanced, and given the powers U-Mos shows and is Scan Visor implied/confirmed to have, I think he's probably one of the few people who could legitimately take Samus in a fight if he had to.

Not that he would since they're on the same side. Still...
