Unit 2b c2
Through different materials and resources I made some props for the show, one of the props was some magic beans. To do this there were a couple of ideas but it was finally decided that would could not buy any beans which were big enough. So we improvised buy using cashew nuts and painting them random colours. Once they were dry they looked like magical beans the only problem was they had to last through out all of the shows then over the Christmas break then the next lot of shows. Through a little bit of research I discovered that PVA glue creates a seal so if I was to paint PVA glue round the edge it would give the beans (nuts) a nice shine a seal them so they would go mouldy during the show. Another prop which I made was the festive colouring books. When I looked on the internet I discovered that the festive colouring books for the time period of the show were basic and just an outline. This meant it was easy to find images of simple Christmas outline pictures. Two images per paper then stapled together to form a little booklet I used yellow paper to give the impression to the audience that the prop was not made in the twentieth century and the prop fitted in with the time period of the show. These are just two examples of prop making, one where items were brought and adapted and one done through the internet for the cost of nothing.
