Patch Notes: The Night’s Den: A New House! Earned by completing the introductory quest in Night Market. It even has an entrance directly from the Night Market!
Screenshots + house feedback below.
Night's Den – Entrance & Courtyard:
Night's Den – Vault:
1. The vault visual is based on your character's gold. As reviewed here, we'd prefer a more constant visual via banked gold, designated character, or deposit to the pile itself.
2. There seems to be a "sweet spot" at 6 million gold where the door sparkles. (5 mil = a little sparkle at the bottom, 6 = full sparkle.) Beyond 6 mil, it no longer sparkles (bug?). The pile stops growing at 7 mil. Everything beyond 7 mil has the same visual.
+ See ALT text below:
↑ 7 million gold, UI hidden, max pile visual. Baron Jangleplume placed to show that you can place things inside (although you cannot go inside yourself; only look at it)… and because he is happy there :3
I think this is a missed opportunity to give us a swimmable giant pile of gold a-la-Scrooge-McDuck 😹
Night's Den – Bank:
This is locked to start; unlocked via progress in the Night Market. As stated here, most of us will need to find a group for this difficult area. It's essentially a Trial.
After unlock, this will give you access to your bank and Guild banks.
Night's Den – Faction Wings:
Wings are unlocked via achievements in Night Market factions.
I hope a way to preview the wings will be added to future PTS – I'm sure many of us will base our faction choice on which wing we'd like to build in.
Night's Den – Height Limits:
Unfortunately the ceiling is low, so you cannot build outside with the cool skybox.

Good thing the base house is unlocked via the intro quest because the Night Market is a Trial-difficulty area. Most will need to group.
The house comes nicely-decorated as-is. Lots of the new, colorful lanterns I assume will be unbound. Nice!
Vault should be based on bank, designated character, or deposit directly to the house pile.
Bug – the vault door stops sparkling at 7 million+
Could the Vault be enterable so we can swim in the gold pile like Scrooge McDuck? 🥺🙏💰
Please give us a way to preview all 3 wings: I want to pick the faction whose wing I want to build in. EDIT: This should come in PTS 3, week of January 27. More info: one, two
We really need portals & custom spawn for housing. Else, this will have the same problem as Hall of the Lunar Champion: 1. too many load screens; 2. too many areas to build in, not enough slots.
Too bad the ceiling is so low. Would be nice to build outside with the interesting skybox, but it's impossible. (But I get it, there's probably no landscaping done out there.)
U49 spoilers below if you'd like to find these yourself, but @yffresbeard and I went through every zone in the game to find which stablemasters have the new mounts available for purchase with gold and what mounts there are.
There are 17 total, 16 of which were crown purchases only and 1 is brand new
1. Highland Spotted Lynx: Craglorn, Summerset
2. Hammerfell Camel: Hew's Bane, Alik'r Desert
3. Sapiarchic Senche-Serval: Gold Coast, West Weald
4. Snow Bear: Wrothgar, The Reach
5. Nix-Ox War-Steed Rubyflare Torchnix: Vvardenfell, Telvanni Peninsula (changed during week 4 of PTS)
6. Yorgrim River Ram: Eastmarch, Riften, Stormhaven
7. Ja'zennji Siir Fox: Auridon, Blackwood
8. Faunfrolic Great Elk: Grahtwood, Malabal Tor, High Isle
16. Ebon Dwarven Horse: Clockwork City (new, not available anywhere in base game)
17. Spotted Duneracer Senche-Raht: Northern Elsweyr, Southern Elsweyr (not available anywhere in base game)
15/17 are available in base game zones while 2 are exclusive to dlc zones. They range from 50k gold to 200k gold so expect to spend a pretty penny collecting them. Some of these haven't been available since as far back as 2017, but some were only recently removed from the crown store, so it's a wide range.
Week 3 of the PTS is up, and it's EU copy. This time tester characters are given the relics, which will allow unlocking the house wings.
Good news first! –
A couple of the unlock furnishings are pretty cool.
There are ZERO load screens to the wings! So it's not like Hall of the Lunar Champion (HotLC) ^_^
As for the wings themselves... see below.
Unlocking the house is explained in part 1:
Patch Notes: The Night’s Den: A New House! Earned by completing the introductory quest in Night Market. It even has an entrance directly fro
It's easy, you just do an intro quest.
Unlocking the wings:
Relics, you'll actually have to work for by defeating bosses in the Night Market (on Live server). Here's how it looks once they're earned:
The purple items bottom-right in the first shot (using the Glimmering Lamp memento) are the Relics, loading after withdrawing them from a tester box. After all Relics were consumed, all three mementos were unlocked.
Then, at any of the Night Market merchants, you can "buy" all three Collectible furnishings:
As you can see, they were free on PTS. I don't know if that will be the case on Live also.
I really like the Gleaming Lamp replica! The eyeball moves :)
The Windglass Replica rotates
The spider on the Egg of Arac is animated, moving its legs slightly
Next, place each item on its pedestal in the house (just like at HotLC):
The Wings:
(Info in ALT text)
The wings are small, empty rooms
Lightly themed after the Factions
Immovable pillars in the center
No load screens! Nice!
So for those who only want to do housing and really don't want to group for Night Market combat / trial, I think this is OK: these aren't entire full zones like at HotLC, and perhaps not interesting enough to bother with.
(I'll be honest: personally, I'm not motivated to unlock these rooms. Maybe only the last gold room, with the cool lamp Collectible. And to be clear: for me, that's not a negative! I'm very OK with having less to grind. I would also do some Night Market to unlock the bank, as well as the merchant furnishings, and Antiquities.)
However, you might still want the furnishings – Collectible slots are so important for us in Housing!
More furnishings:
After you unlock the Relics and obtain the Collectible furnishings, you'll also receive a Mail from each Faction containing some furnishings:
Let's see what they gave us. These are all Bind on Pickup:
Thousand Eyes:
Nothing to write home about here. These are all cheap, craftable and event items you can easily get otherwise. (And because these are all Bound, I'd rather not have them clogging up inventory.)
Glittering Goad:
Ok, that's a little more interesting! The Maormer rugs and Redguard pottery are Crown-only items normally. (Again, all items bound.)
The Ruckus:
Again, all craftable. Nothing that's really expensive nor difficult to get otherwise.
So, in terms of room uniqueness and furniture quality, Glittering Goad seems to be the only faction worth doing. The Ruckus is the least interesting overall; the faction may appeal most to combat-centric players.

Merchant Furnishings:
14 items (including 6 banners, not pictured) that will come from Merchants. Some of these might be from the Night Mark
I wish we could have a "house" in The Parch: no buildings, just sand dunes with the Parch skybox – and perhaps a bit of sea off to the side, like Alik'r.
Also wish we could have those warm gold lights. Or better, the ability to make our own:
Combine the most useful effects of existing lights into one –
One light to rule them all, and in the darkness bind them!

If you don't know what to do with yourself this week (no more Endeavors) – it's a great time to prep Solstice Dailies!
Stock up on Solstice daily quests, then open on March 9th when the new Stone-Nest and Worm Cult structural plans drop.
Regardless of whether you care about Housing or these particular styles, these items will sell HIGH while new. Lots of gold to be made!

P.S.
Yes, as long as you don't open the coffers before March 9th, their contents will not be generated until then, and will have a chance to drop the new plans.
(I don't yet have screenshots of this, but will update if all goes according to plan next week. Luckily Solstice dailies are a huge improvement on West Weald's, so it's not a huge loss even if it didn't work. If you're worried, you can simply save your quests to turn in that day.)
Just be aware that there might be a limit: 2-purples-per-toon-per-day.
Yes, I'm a weirdo and keep important things in the Junk tab xD
Done so practically since Beta! (I have a custom addon remove the possibility of accidental destroy-all and sell-all)
