Countdown leader + a Les Paul Special.
Saturday night tracking with the UA Arrow. Gibson Les Paul Special plugged into the 610B Unison preamp, with a really chorusey setting on the EMT 250 Reverb. My AKG 214 is also running through a 610B with a little plate reverb in the monitor.
A rare (mostly) day off. I went in to work box office for a screening of Jesus Christ Superstar, which wasn’t too bad.
When I came back home, I pulled out this closet monster. Admittedly the Les Paul Classic has taken precedence since I purchased it last year, and I’d forgotten just how light and playable this yellow beast is.
Plugged it into the UA Arrow and laid down some tracks atop a rhythm track I created with the MPK Mini.
Loving my tidied workstation. I’ll probably be spending a lot of time here this week. Trying not to go stir-crazy.
I recorded my weekly radio column this afternoon and took the extra (unnecessary step) of recording audio tags on my Fender Jaguar using the TC Crescendo pedal plugged into my Univeral Audio Arrow console, where I activated the Fender 55 Tweed and RE-201 plugins. So uh, a little ambitious for a guy who has barely touched an instrument in the last year?
The box has been open, however, and I’m going to be recording a lot over the next bit. Portastudio: I’m back, baby.
Can’t remember the last time I did any recorded audio reporting. It felt good to export this. The Neve pre is nice on my voice and I used the CLA-2A by Waves to squash down the stereo file.
