I am a college freshman with a question: what is sleep?
This is most peaceful place part of my school. It is called Administration Lobby Building at University of Asia and the Pacific.
Why?
- You can stand by and listen to music - You can study or do stuffs - You can wait your parents or someone who will fetch you - You can do sightseeing as well, by looking at the fishes and feeding them as well - You can talk with your friends - You just wanted to be alone--PERFECT PLACE to sit down and relax - You can just think things for a while, then back to reality
This is my life for today at exactly 3:50pm of August 4, 2015.
COLLEGE BEGINS IN TWO WEEKS
College is really happening
It’s barely a month before my college life at the University of Asia and the Pacific begins. Within me, there’s nervousness, excitement and a little anxiety like grouped hair strands that are held together by a braid.
I’m nervous. It’s like a new chapter with a new plot and with familiar words used to give different meanings. Nobody knows what’s ahead. I’m probably not the only person who feels this way too. I think this is just normal and in the first few weeks I’ll get over this.
I’m excited. I’ll meet new friends, new mentors and a new family. I’ll finally find myself in a university that I’ll call “second home.” I know I’ll learn more lessons and make more memories. I’m going to savor every bit of it. And this will bring me two steps closer to finally becoming a lawyer (there’s still JD then bar exams).
I’m anxious. I’ve always been stressed out at almost anything and everything. It’s quite hard for me to admit that stress became my nature. The anxiety is caused by the nervousness. But I know I should just stay calm. I know things will be fine and okay if I pray and do the right things. And I will.
So, yes. College is really happening. In God I trust.
Ora et labora! Blaze a trail!
Summer or College
I feel so bummed.. My family and I already bought flight tickets to the United States to spend the summer there from April 19-May 26 with my relatives. I'm also going to college in June at the University of Asia and the Pacific or UA&P for short, taking up Entrepreneurial Management. The problem here is that the University is requiring me to take a summer headstart classes from May 4-27 before I can register to the school's regular classes.. As much as I want to spend my summer vacation in the states with my cousins whom I haven't seen for 6 years, I also want to go to UA&P so bad.. My parents are letting me choose either I take the summer classes or spend a summer vacation with them and choose to go to UST instead with BS Psychology. I like UA&P better with EM so.. I have no choice but to choose college first.. I'm very upset because I waited for 6 years for me to go visit my cousins again in the states. Now that I have the chance, something has to get in the way.. My family would left me behind and alone at home.. I'm okay with being separated from them but I'm just extremely upset about the fact that I can't go with them..
