can someone please write more fanfiction about the other wizarding schools? i think we need more fan made characters and storylines, apart from just hogwarts. there are so many other wizarding schools in the harry potter universe, and there is so much potential. i would read the fuck out of these fanfics. id DEVOUR them. if something like this already exists, please send recommendations. if not, can someone pleaseee write something like that??

okay, so I was going through the pure blood families in the Wizarding world, and fell down the rabbit hole of the wizarding schools, because little miss fuckface the “author” has a terrible concept of geography and world politics (and population sizes, tf you mean three schools teach the ENTIRETY of their continent????)

so, if you have any headcanons about wizarding schools and wouldn’t mind if they work their way into my marauders fanfic (with credit in the notes sections of course), can you please share? I’ve been browsing the wizarding schools tag on here and seen some genuinely fascinating headcanons and schools from people wanting their countries and cultures to be properly represented, and I don’t want to steal any ideas of course! it’s just such a shame we know so much on hogwarts, a little on ilvermorny and beauxbatons, and basically nothing on the others. like, there’s allegedly three schools we’re missing! that’s insane right????!

(Also I might make a post about the Canadian wizarding school that’s starting to form in my mind cause ain’t no fucking way quebec students are going to the states for school in english lol)

I mean.. Why are they not making a series or movies about the other magical schools??

It's so fascinating and interesting to learn the history about all the other magical schools!!!

They could have also make something about the Tom Riddle era or Marauders era if they wanted...

They really didn't have to remake the movies and turned it into a series....😑

Franklin "Frankie" Wright Fan Cast — Patrick Dempsey

Franklin Wright, eighteen in 1892, is in his final year at Hogwarts. Franklin was born to two former Hogwarts students from an affair using Amortentia. He was adopted by Ugandan parents, and once he was of age he was sent to Uagadou to begin his studies of wizardry and magic. In the middle of his fourth year, after finding himself with a trouble-inducing crowd, Franklin was expelled from the school. Leaving his parents with no other choice, they moved back to Scotland, and Franklin transferred to Hogwarts soon thereafter. 

Frankie is a quiet yet passionate spirit, allowing new friends to find him in the most unlikeliest of circumstances. He barely talks to those he most enjoys the company of, and does not speak to strangers. He does exactly what his heart and mind tell him to do, following the path that he thinks is correct no matter what others may think of him. This silent confidence and truthfulness in everything he does is something many of his loved ones hope stays with him, as it is what makes Frankie himself. 

After many series of events involving the discovery of ancient magic, the defeating of Ranrok/Rookwood’s dastardly group of dark wizards, and the turmoil involving old companions that they all no longer associate with, Franklin is ready to graduate from Hogwarts and pursue a future in potion making along with possible freelance work for the school. His high scores in academics prove he is an incredibly bright student, and the professors believe such smarts will lead him to have a very bright career in whatever he may go into.

Also: there should definitely be a school of magic in Timbuktu. And Benin. And Egypt. Why only Uagadou?

There must have been some type of shitty after taste from imperialism and lot of the Ancient schools just decided not to be involved with the Western Wizarding world.

I bet the Western magic is so different from African magic that the Western schools of witchcraft don’t even recognize the African school of magic as real magic. And the magic would be different in different parts of Africa.

in West Africa There would be a lot more nature bound rituals, music and collaboration with the ancestral spirits and communal magic. The spells would involve long incantations based in ancient African languages done in sacred ritual places and there would be less emphasis on face to face duels and other brutal methods of the whites. There would be no use of fragile magic wands. The magic would be tied to an objects like a pot filled with magical items hidden in ground and the object would be dug out and used to perform powerful magic in secret gatherings. The magic would be communal and would depend to be produced as a group and not an individual effort. There would also be significantly more animagi and no requirement to be registered, much to the annoyance of the Europeans.

So Uagadou was probably just the most European complying and adopted more of their techniques and was included in the list of officially recognized schools as they fit the European idea of what magic is and what a school of magic is.

Just my thinking. I would love someone to develop this idea. I’m feeling sort of not allowed to go very far with this on my own as I’m not African and am very bloody white myself. I have however lived in Ghana for a decade and married to Ghanian for 16 years and I feel pretty integrated and maybe this is why I feel so drawn to the idea of African schools of witchcraft. Maybe as something my kids could relate to.
