At the time of the first Godfather movie: Sonny is the oldest child. He’s 32.
Fredo is the second oldest. He’s 30 (canon!), even though he looks older.
Michael is the youngest of the boys. He’s 25.
Connie is the youngest. She’s 23. Vito is 52 and Carmella is 50. OH! And Tom is 33!
For general headcanons:
Sonny has a nasty sense of humor. He's always saying something he shouldn't, just for laughs.
Fredo has a similar sense of humor, but his is more in control. He's more mature than Sonny, though he's younger.
Michael is the unmentioned prince of the house. The smartest, the most mature, the most independent, the most handsome...
Connie considers him her best friend. They were very tight as kids, all the way through their teenage years. They grew apart a little when Michael went off to college and then to war. But she still considered him her best friend.
She was the one who found the tabby cat when he was just a kitten around the compound. She asked her father if they could keep him and he said yes. She started calling him Cannoli and considered him her cat. But Vito is the cat's favorite.
Carmella made a promise to St. Michael The Archangel: "Oh, my Saint Michael, if our next child is a healthy boy, he'll have your name." St. Michael sent her the boy, with added bonuses...
She also has a tendency to switch to Italian/Sicilian when she's nervous.
