-Art Credits and elaboration-
-Hiromu Arakawa as an artist in general, but particularly for her work on FullMetal Alchemist.
-Katsura Hoshino also an artist in general. DGM is my favorite manga series, and I very much enjoy BOTH art styles she uses, as due to an injury to her hand, there was a drastic stylistic change part-way through the series. That perseverance alone is also an inspiration, art aside.
-Alex Pardee is one of the only non manga/anime influences I can really note in my art and one whom I look to often. His art is about expression and release. I've met him personally at Dragon*Con, where I first discovered him.
-Dramatical Murder's Artist (who's name is confusing as she only has a Pixiv. Kantala Sakura?) The art is just absolutely beautiful and I draw inspiration in the CG, hair and hand drawing.
-Kazuki Takahashi is a childhood inspiration as the creator of Yugioh. I REALLY love everything about the art style but it is also nostalgic. Pretty arms and eyes.
-Happyds here on tumblr! They were one of the first artists I followed on here. I love the anatomy work.
-The Legend of Zelda- Although there are many art styles for this franchise, LOZ is another childhood inspiration. I draw from the setting and fantasy aspects of the game mostly in regards to idea rather than physical style, but the art for Hyrule Warriors is my favorite so far!
-Uberzers on Deviantart is a really old idol of mine. I don't follow much of their work anymore but I can still see their influence evident in my own.
-CaptainCrapster here on Tumblr is another artist I've looked up to for a long time! Mostly for their more cartoony and less anime styled stuff.
-Harvest Moon similarly to LOZ is a game taking place in a fantasy setting. It's much simpler, but the same elements regarding gods, goddesses, nature and 'olden time' stuff applies. Also the chibi style is adorable.
-Kazuki Nakashima is a huge inspiration, mainly for his writing of Gurren Lagann. Not much to say. So much respect. Love the dynamic.
-Akira Toriyama is a giant inspiration as the Dragon Ball Z author and artist. The manga I find is a lot less angular and simplified than the anime. A very impressive style that I love and draw from.
-Lasty, and my most early inspiration, Ken Sugimori. Pokemon was my biggest influence in general as a child, the Gameboy Color game "Crystal" literally more or less teaching me how to read. I watched the show from before I can even recall and my first drawings EVER were heavily and almost solely because I was inspired by Pokemon and Sugimori. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't be the artist I am right now.
Like I said, making one of these can not only remind you of who you are inspired by, but it can really help you to see why you do what you do. You might not even realize what inspires you until filling this out!
