1. Pick Your Date Carefully
iCanMed would highly recommend that you take your UCAT in early August before the results come out. By doing this you would get around 6-8 weeks to get into such high-intensity preparation after your exams and you won’t be stressing out about the results you’ve got for your UCAT exams.
2. Give Yourself plenty of time
As we mentioned 6-8 weeks of “high intensity” preparation in tip #1.6-8 weeks is a pretty good amount of time to prepared for the UCAT, however, the students who start their preparation even earlier will perform better. This is simply due to the familiarity with many question types, patterns that appear for certain UCAT sections.
3. Get familiar with the Onscreen test
The UCAT is a computer-based exam. It’s obvious that you will have some familiarity with the test center if you’ve previously taken an online test. No amount of your revision notes, flashcards or UCAT books can adequately prepare you to take the online screen test. When you start doing your practice tests, you should try and do them on a UCAT simulator too.
