ufotable cafe (by とみ~)
Cafe, part one!
Yesterday was a busy day. I started off by dressing up in lolita, which I haven’t had a chance to do in quite some time. Then I was off to Nakano - in the rain - for more Touken Ranbu, this time at Machi Asobi Cafe.
The staff was great about moving the character cutouts around for anyone who wanted photos of one that was in the back, or if someone wanted a photo of two together, so there was a lot of shuffling (my favorite part being when a staff member dropped Tsurumaru right in front of my face because he was in the way of another cutout).
Today’s drinks:
Oodenta- cocoa with black sesame
Higekiri- matcha milk and white chocolate
Saniwa- marron tea
Today’s food:
Grilled chicken
Anmitsu
As usual, it was all super delicious. I love coming here.
The woman sitting across from me had her son with her. I got to listen to her patiently explain to him who all the swords were. He was in middle school, maybe third or fourth grade, I’d guess. He knew which swords he liked, even if he couldn’t remember their names, and he sang along with the Katsugeki ending theme whenever it played. I see mothers with children at Touken Ranbu cafes pretty frequently.
Oh, that last photo? That cutout of Izuminokami and Horikawa is for sale. It’s 30,000 yen. The one of Mutsunokami and Tonbokiri is for sale, too. I don’t know why I found that funny, but I did.
Fate/Zero - Ufotable cafe
Another day, another trip to Ufotable Cafe with Koji!
Sadly, they were sold out of the Lancer dessert, but they still had the lunch mats, and we were allowed to ask for Lancer ones instead of the ones that came with the other desserts.
Today’s drinks-
Illya and Berserker: Hot milk, whip cream, and rum raisin! (it smelled like buttered popcorn??)
Kotomine and Lancer: I don’t remember, but it was bizarre and unsettling. It tasted good, but I didn’t like it?? Ufotable is making these character image drinks too accurate.
Today’s food-
Seafood pasta! This was a Lancer dish, but I forget the full name. It was really hecking good, though!
Shirou and Saber’s dessert: Vanilla ice cream, whip cream, and chocolate and vanilla cake, with orange syrup! Also hecking good!
Koji had Kirei’s mapo tofu (god bless). Apparently it actually IS spicy!
As you can see, the number of Bathroom Friends has increased. Remember to pray to Bathroom Kirei for good luck!
At some point Jouji dropped in and signed that Kirei board. I love Jouji. He has such a great time. I hope I am someday half as cool as Jouji Nakata.
