So many juicy nuggets in this book. SLIDE LEFT to see one. I know I'll be reading it again and again. Very easy to read and understand, with advice that gives you hope in these times. Not long ago, someone was offering me a loan. If I wasn't adverse to owing people, I would have snatched it up, cos, who doesn't need extra cash to hand? But I turned it down. It was a fight, cos the guy was persistent. And lately, been seeing so many loan offers, and my banks telling me I qualify for this or that loan. I almost accepted one of the offers, but this book has just helped me see why that would have been a big mistake.... The number one don't tip: "Don't take a loan just because you want one or it's available." There's also advice on when to take a loan and how to use it. This book is the financial adviser you need in this season! If only we had one for taxes in Naija, cos that's another rabbit hole! Well done @kikekups_author. I rarely read outside my comfort zone, so I tend to read from authors I've already read from and loved. However, I took a chance on @opywrites's #newbook #Amanda, as the title caught my attention. I also found the blurb intriguing... This book was all shades of awesome! I was gripped from the get go. I can't say how much I love books that have me smiling and appreciating the characters from the first paragraph. It was really well done. I didn't put down the book til I finished it...it was that interesting. It was such a rollercoaster ride too, so many surprises along the way as I read this book, things that had me thinking and reflecting on this life and the hard choices people are making. The book touched on human and drug trafficking, as well as the growing business of sugar daddies! I'm glad I took a chance on this book. A short wonderful read! I had hoped for a different ending, but hey, that is life 😆 Go get yours!!! Jeezaloo! I spent the better part of this book feeling sick to my stomach... Absolutely disgusted 😨 I grew to despise Bekere for what she did and continued to do to Folu... Who could have foreseen redemption? When Mama Ajibade insulted her, cursed her out, I was right there in the room throwing my own insults... Like seriously, how dare you?! Who the hell do you think you are? Wicked b***h 🤬 Mehn... I think I'm still angry... But, God bless Folu... He majorly screwed up, but, somehow, he was an inspiration... That a man can love, oh! And that when a man really loves a woman, there's not a thing that can stop him from fighting for their love. I didn't understand how he continued to hang in there and hope and even beg... I insulted him too. But, he reminded me of God... I liked how the author made connections with the scriptures with this story, making them relevant to our modern lives. But I think the Mama Ajibade was the one who saved the day... In her own way! She certainly woke up Bekere... And as for Fola... Mtcheeew!!! Anyway, didn't plan on a long #review. Really, I'm just happy that despite all the wickedness, love had its day. Love won in the end. Praise God! Well done, @officialtimiwaters. Hmmm... So, I read these two books one after the other, with hardly a breather in between. In Ara's story, we were introduced to Ginika's bridesmaids and the Ginika herself... A bunch of characters oh!!! Me, I'm wondering what kind of person Ginika is, hmmm... Well, Ara's love story was sweet, dramatic, quirky, and fun to read. But there were questions for me about her relationship with her bestfriend, and I suppose I'll get those questions answered when I read Ginika's story... I read the preview to Isioma's story at the end of Ara's at night, curiously, thinking I'll get back to the book later... But the story was hot from the beginning, and I could hardly sleep, so it was all I did yesterday, reading Isioma's story. The story got me emotional, and I think I might have the hots for Kabiri... 😝 I lost patience with Isioma sha... Her shakara was too much! The Kabiri made mistake, but come on, girl... No be you say you no wan run again??! And two minutes later, you're running, and not even small run...across the world run!!! I vexed for the chick like I vexed for #Golibe... Kabiri enter wahala falling for Isioma oh... But I hope she has finally settled down sha... I want to read about their wedding next... Biko! I couldn't read the preview to Ife's story. I can't have sleepness nights until The Fertile Chick delivers the full story... So, I'm just gonna put that on chill! So I started this #trilogy by @officialtimiwaters late in December, as I was very intrigued by the storyline. Folu and Fola are two brothers fighting over the same woman, Bekere, and what is more, they are identical twins! Timi makes reference to the story of Esau and Jacob, and how the younger will rule over the older, and also how the older sold his birthright. These themes also play out in the story, though there are significant differences. I was roped in with the first book, and now that I'm done with the second, I am definitely invested in knowing how this all plays out! The characters are real and flawed, Timi masterfully developed them and weaved a compelling story filled with romance, passion, friendship, drama, suspense, action, and more. Sensitive readers should be warned of erotic content in the books, especial Book 2. I really enjoyed how she shared with us her knowledge of books, art, history, and culture. I felt like I was visiting those places as she described them. I can't wait to #read the final book in the series #TwoRedLines.
