Phainon loved to travel around after everything that happened in Amphoreous. While, yes, he absolutely loved his homeland and always returns back to it, it’s time he traveled around. Find new planets, meet to people, experience new adventures. Relaxing adventures, actually. He wants to relax. He’s been through so much.
The astral express had guided him to a peaceful planet in a far galaxy. Really, it looked like Aedes Elysiae (that’s probably why they recommended it to him), but that was even better. He can be that normal farm boy he used to be.
The people were quite welcoming when the white haired man landed on their planet. They must be used to visitors, since they quickly took him into their village and dressed him in their robes.
“We haven’t had many people coming here.” One of the women told him, running a comb through his hair, “Most are going to the nearby planets because of all the entertainment it brings compared to us.”
“Really?” He gazed at her in the mirror, “I find it better to be here. It’s so peaceful.”
“I’m glad you think so too!” She squeezed his arm, “Oh, you must be a farmer. You’re such a strong boy.”
“Yes, I helped my parents quite often.” He nodded, letting her pull him up. “Wonderful! Wonderful! Our village needs help plowing a field in the valley, if you don’t mind. The drought hit us hard this season and we’ve been struggling.”
“Of course!”
And that’s how Phainon found himself in the fields, plowing and raking through the dried soil. The woman wasn’t lying when she said the drought hit their village, the dirt was practically rock. There wasn’t much water available except at the well, but that was a far walk. The lake was near, he supposed.
He wiped the sweat from his head, heaving a breath and scanning his progress. It wasn’t as much as he’d like, the people needed to plant their crops soon.
While he was debating on his next course of action, a nice breeze swept through the valley. He leaned into the wind, closing his eyes and taking in the air. “That feels nice…”
“I know it does.”
He yelped, dropping his tool and stumbling back, “What—?! Who—?!”
“Me.” You giggled at his started self, stepping— er, floating, backwards to give him space. “I didn’t mean to startle you, I thought you needed to cool off.”
He stared at you. You, with your wind shaped self. Your cloudy floating hair, your milky eyes, your fingers and feet fading and materializing with every brush of the wind. You looked like you belonged in the sky among the clouds.
“Who are you?” He asked.
“Who are you?” You echoed, flipping upside down in a way to tilt your head, “I’ve never seen you before. When did you arrive?”
“A… a few hours ago. Maybe a day.” He answered, clearing his throat as he grabbed the dropped tool on the ground. “I’ve been trying to soften the soil for a while now.”
“Oh, that?” You flipped right side up, your body changing color to match the dirt underneath you. He gaped at the transformation, “Woah.”
You only chuckled at his face, all but skipping towards one end of the field and stretching your entire body. You grew large, covering the entirety of the ground he needed to go through and turned into a stormy grey. He gazed up, raising his hand as rain spilled down from your body. Actual rain. From you.
Phainon snapped out of his stupor to quickly get to work, going through each row own by one as the dirt loosened from the water. All thanks to your storm. It took less than half the time it would have if it was still dry and he was alone. “To think I’ve seen everything,” he mumbled to himself.
You watched the white haired man plow through the fields, ending the ran once he stood and gave you a thumbs up. The rain slowed to a stop, and you shrank yourself down to his size and approached.
He was rather built, it’s no wonder he went through the field in the time he did. Many of the farm kids wouldn’t be able to do that so quickly.
“You’re fast.” You held his arm, squeezing his muscle. “And strong. Very strong.” You moved closer, your hands wandering over him. At best, the man flushed, holding your wrists, but not stopping your explorations. “I used to help my parents with their farm.” He told you, coughing when you squeezed his chest.
You gazed into his blue eyes, humming and squeezing again, “Soft.” You mumbled, “You do more than farm work. The farmers are strong, but not like you.” You stared at his chest, then his face, then back to his chest as you buried your head between his pecs.
He froze.
And then laughed.
“What are you doing?”
“Warm.” Came your mumbled voice, along with the groan that vibrated through his body. You pulled away soon enough, though, sparing him from the rest of your antics. “What’s your name?”
“Phainon.” He told you with a smile, repeating your name once he told you.
“How long are you staying?” You asked as you turned into a cloudy white, then a green when you hovered over the grass. “I don’t know,” he shrugged. “However long I want, I guess. I’m… winding down while I stay here.”
“Then you found the right place.”
And it was true, Phainon certainly found the right place on your planet. He stayed in the nearby village, making friends with many of them and speaking as if he knew them his entire life. You weren’t shocked that he was so comfortable with them, they were rather kind to all kinds of strangers.
You’d visit him often, either to bother or to help on the farms he helped with. He talked with you, telling you about his homeland, his friends, his parents, his people. He spoke so fondly of them you considered them your friends too.
What did surprise him was the fact that the villagers were taken aback because of how casually he spoke with or of you. Which is how he learned you were worshipped among their people because of the blessings you bring. He realized you were the Mother Nature of this planet because of the weather you bring, or rather, you were the weather. Could you still be called Mother Nature then?
He didn’t think about it too much. You did your job and he’ll call you by your name instead of some fancy title.
You were attached to him, mostly because he let you touch him all over. That sounded wrong, but it’s true. He let your hands roam over his body when you got curious, you’ve never really explored another human before since you’re up in the skies most of the time.
You were just lucky he let you do the things you did. You were rather shameless with it too.
You’d watch when he would lift heavy items, when he would wrap bandages around his hand and break it with his teeth, when he would get soaked in water, and when he changed his clothes.
And yes, you saw everything.
You sat on the bed of the room he was staying in at a hotel, your legs crossed while you held your ankles. Phainon was walking around the room, having taken off every garment until he was completely bare in front of you without an ounce of shame.
“I have to ask.” He spoke, opening his drawers, “What are you, exactly?”
“What do you mean?” You tilted your head far enough to land on your side on the bed.
“I mean that you’re the weather, right?” He waved his hand, “I’ve seen you bring rain and wind and heat and all. That’s all weather stuff.”
“I control the atmosphere.” You added, “And the air. The heat of the sun. The gravitational pull. I’m just on this planet more often because everything else is subconscious.”
“Really?” He nodded, clearly impressed, “That’s… a lot.”
“Mhm.” You stared at his body.
The two of you would do this often. He’d ask a question about your job and/or what you do, and you’d ask a question about his human nature and/or body. It was a mutual thing, really, with both of you fulfilling the either’s curiosity.
“What’s that?” You pointed between his legs, “I’ve seen the males with it. Not the females.”
“Oh.” He cleared his throat, “Yeah, only the men have it. It’s a…” he scratched the back of his neck, finding the best way to explain. “It’s called a penis. It’s a male genital used for stuff like peeing or… uh, other activities.”
“What kind of activities?”
He blushed, coughing into his hand, “Pleasure, basically. It’s like an external pleasure center because of all the nerves and stuff. You know, you get a man and a woman and they have sex.” He gestured to himself, “You put this in a woman either for pleasure for both parties or to have kids.”
“Huh.” You stood from the bed, staring at it for a long while.
This was the moment he realized that you have been naked this entire time. How did he know that? Because out of nowhere, your body formed a penis similar to his own.
He couldn’t stop himself from laughing, “Aeons—! I can’t believe you made one!”
“I want to see!” You pouted and crossed your arms, grumbling at the genital dangling between your legs, “I don’t know how you can walk with this thing.”
“There’s different sizes.” He shrugged. “Some are smaller, some are bigger.”
“Anything bigger than this is absurd.” You huffed, making the limb disappear with a wave of your hand, and sat back on the bed. “It looks uncomfortable.”
“Only if you tuck it wrong.” He explained as he put on his clothes.
“Still.”
“Do you do that often?” He asked, fixing his belt, “Take on different human forms?”
“Not really.” You shrugged, “Only if I like the human. Or if I’m curious. A woman showed me her genitals too, a vagina I think, it seems much better to walk with.”
“Yeah, because everything they have is on the inside.” He told you, “But that also comes with them having periods.”
“I’ve heard of it.”
“Mhm.” He explained what periods were to you, laughing again at your grimace. Your faces were priceless, really.
“That sounds worse.” You shook your head.
“Both aren’t ideal.” He shook his head. “Sometimes you get a boner out of nowhere as a guy. You can get premenstrual cramps as a girl— my mom had a condition called endometriosis.”
“Huh?”
“When the lining of the uterus is on the outside instead of the inside. Its attached to the pelvis— I think. You should probably as someone about it. I just know that her pain was so awful she’d pass out.”
You turned into a pale cloud. He nodded, “Yeah, that’s how I felt too.” He explained any other questions you had about the human body afterwards, fulfilling your curiosity as much as he possibly could.
He’s stayed on your planet for a solid three and a half years. It didn’t feel like it, but he was so used to Amphoreus’ sense of time that anything else felt odd. Three years didn’t feel like a long time at all <- for a reason too. He’s too used to living so long.
Aglaea came to visit him after finding time from her job as a fashion designer/tailor, wanting to know how he’s been fairing. He met up with the golden haired woman, speaking animatedly about everything that’s been going on.
“I’m glad you found someone for you.” She smiled as they wandered through the village. “I know it must be hard, but finding someone to love you as you is quite the wonderful feeling.”
“Finding someone?” He asked, tilting his head. “I don’t think they love me like that—“
“They’ve seen you naked.”
“And????”
Aglaea scoffed, clearly disappointed at the fact he wasn’t connecting the dots, “What other being like them comes down to meet with a mortal like you?”
“I’m not mortal.” He mumbled.
“Human.” She rolled her eyes, “Phainon, they love you. I should know, I wasn’t the Chrysos Heir of romance for no reason.”
He rolled his head, knowing she was right, “I’m not going to act on it yet. Not until they do. I’m going to wait.”
“For how long?”
“However long it takes.” He shrugged, knowing it’s going to be a long while. Because you weren’t anywhere close to being human, but neither was he. Whatever happens between you, whatever develops, he’s willing to wait for it. To take his time and take it slow.
He’s in no rush.
A/N: You ever look back at the things you write and say “damn. That was shit” yeah that’s I how feel with some of these 😭💀 I blame it on the fact that none of it is beta read. I type and I post then fix it later if at all
