LIKE. do you ever consider the extent to which odin doesn’t
understand the boy who is supposedly his own son? do you
ever consider how odin is so focused on projecting what he
wants of his children that he never considers what they actually
are, what they actually desire?
does loki want to rule asgard? of course he does. he wants to
be fucking trusted. he wants to be looked upon with some
SEMBLANCE of affection, or admiration, or kindness. and the
thing is that like... loki actually is good at ruling
i know people ??? don’t like to admit to it, but when he feigns
his position as odin, he takes asgard through several years of
prosperity; frigga trusts him enough to have loki rule and not
take the throne herself like
i’m not saying loki would be a better ruler than thor, and honestly,
after the events of thor (2009), loki wouldn’t say that either,
but this idea that loki is some sort of evil person that would run
a kingdom into a ruin is just
loki’s used to being despised, and hated, but he isn’t stupid, as
much as the MCU is now taking that interpretation of him to the
max, and i hate how you either have to pretend loki is 100 things
he isn’t to show how shitty thor is, or you have to be like ‘well yeah
loki is stupid and evil’ because you like thor more
