tfr just guts me in a visceral way. it's like, mi1 used to be the bleakest movie in the series, y'know? and after that, even though ethan goes through a lot, the surface-level narrative never really gives it that kind of gravity. all the horror and grief is left kinda subtextual. which is why i always felt like i might be overanalysing the movies a bit.

and then comes tfr. like, you were right actually. he IS the saddest person on planet earth. the narrative knows that. die.

have you seen sabrina's most recent twitter thread? it makes me feel a bit better that there's likely going to be a proper sendoff for the pjeg story. obviously still very bittersweet given everything, but yknow.

im very pleased about this, yes. if sabrina can get a good portion of the cast together, it'll be nice to see what they do to explain the story we would have gotten. however, i do worry about many of them not wanting to interact with the series anymore..
