Apple honeycake!

Today and yesterday were Rosh Hashana, the Jewish new year and one of our most important holidays. Its traditional to eat apples and honey to symbolize a sweet new year and as a result honeycake is a popular dessert during the holiday so I had to make one and add apples as a flourish.

Of course it came out hideous. Really quite ugly. Solid 6/10.

It tasted good though and lasted to entire two days!

Chocolate chip banana bread!

I moved and have a new oven which we noticed runs cold so i tried to makeup for it and overcompensated a little which is why the tip burned 😬

So im giving it a 7/10. Its not pretty but not horrendous

Spice cake. Never listen to recipes when it comes to spices. Just dump it in. Trust me. This one came out delicious. And honestly not really ugly. Just like really basic looking. So I think 2/10 ugly

Mango cake! It was a bit strange. The sponge was amazing but I definitely found the mango strange in a cake. But I am in quarantine and the mangoes were getting overripe and in my experience you turn overripe fruit into cake so that is what I did.

Ugly rating 3/10. Its not really ugly just a bit strange.

I made blueberry muffins. There where more but I ate them.

Ugly rating 9/10. Theyre hideous, lopsided, burnt bits, however i feel like they are still identifyable as blueberry muffins therefore not 10/10.

They didnt taste amazing either but i think thats entirely my fault i messed up the recipe a few times.

Made an apple pie this week. I didnt have the right size pan so i needed to improvize.

Tasted great
