You're joking, right?

OKAY UC board, what the ef where you thinking when you came up with the new UC logo... It's tasteless and lacks the historical symbolism the previous logo embodied. Yeah, you gave us that pretty video with an "explanation" of the change, but you're not being innovative like you claim to be; you're just ripping away the beautiful symbol of our UC system that represents higher thinking and enlightenment. The phrase "let there be light" is a phrase that the foundation of these universities were based upon. To think that changing something old like our university symbol is being "progressive" is absolutely insane. SO Instead of wasting our money on designing a new, INSIPID logo, why don't you allocate those funds in something that will benefit the UC's more directly. Just to clarify, I support that you're trying to become "hip" and "innovative" to attract more people, but please don't try to change the meaning behind our universities. And anyways the UC's should attract those who want to become enlightened with knowledge, not for the fancy package that the UC system is claiming they have. Oh and the best reason of all to change it back... IT'S UUUGLY.
