🏠 : what part of their living space reflects them the most? // Yk ..

The part of Haneul’s living space that represents him best isn’t the obvious one. It isn’t the bed, or the little nook where he spends a few hours reading before finally settling into sleep, or anything meant to be seen at first glance.

It’s the window.

Not because it’s dramatic or symbolic in a loud way, but because of how deliberately he uses it. The window is always kept clea - no clutter on the sill, no heavy curtains drawn unless he needs sleep. At night, it’s where he stands when the rest of the place is quiet, one hand braced lightly against the glass as he looks out at whatever slice of sky the weather allows him. He knows the stars by name, even when he can’t see them. He tracks their absence as carefully as their presence.

Near the window, there’s usually something small and practical: a chair pulled slightly off-center, a jacket draped over the back, shoes lined up nearby instead of kicked aside. It’s a space that suggests someone who pauses rather than collapses, who reflects without indulging. He doesn’t linger there for comfort so much as for orientation - checking where he is, reminding himself the world is still larger than whatever is pressing in on him that day.

The rest of his living space follows that same logic. Clean without being sterile. Personal without being revealing. Nothing excessive, nothing neglected. You could live there comfortably, but you wouldn’t learn his deepest truths from it. Those aren’t on display.

But the window, now it tells you everything you need to know if you’re paying attention. It says he’s someone who looks outward even when the weight of his life might justify looking in. Someone who believes there is still order in the universe, even if it’s distant. Someone who keeps a clear view, not because he’s hopeful in a naive way, but because he refuses to let the world close in completely.

That’s Haneul: open to the sky, grounded in the room, quietly holding both at once.

🌘 : how hard is it to really know them? / U know

Getting to really know Haneul is difficult in a quiet, misleading way.

At first, he seems easy. Approachable. Warm. He laughs readily, listens well, makes space for other people’s moods without demanding anything in return. He asks the right questions, remembers the answers, and offers just enough of himself to feel genuine. Most people walk away thinking they’ve met him. They haven’t.

Haneul is practiced at being understood without being known. He shares facts freely - where he grew up, what he likes, the shape of his habits - because none of that costs him anything. The harder truths stay tucked behind competence and humor. He doesn’t lie; he simply edits. Pain is framed as history, not something ongoing. Loss is acknowledged, then set gently to the side.

To know him for real requires patience and a kind of attention most people don’t realize they’re being tested on. You have to notice what he doesn’t say, the way his tone changes when certain subjects surface, how his warmth dims slightly when the conversation edges too close to something that still hurts. You have to stay when he redirects, not push, not retreat - just remain. Trust with Haneul is earned through consistency, not intensity. He opens slowly, in increments so small they’re easy to miss. A longer pause before answering. A detail shared without a joke attached. Silence he doesn’t immediately fill. These are the tells. If you don’t recognize them, you’ll never realize he’s letting you in.

And even then, knowing him isn’t a finish line.

It’s an ongoing permission. He doesn’t hand himself over all at once because he believes people should choose each other repeatedly, not just once. To be known by him is to be trusted with something fragile and enduring, and he doesn’t give that lightly.

So yes—it’s hard to really know Haneul.

Not because he’s closed off, but because he is careful with the parts of himself that matter most.

"oh, am i really? i didn't realize." seonghwa speaks in a casual manner, innocence dripping from tongue as if he weren't perched over the back of miro's chair, his arm draped over the man's shoulders. he knew exactly what he was doing, but he couldn't find it in him to care. not when he was dreadfully bored and sought out the attention of the attorney who seemed to be focused on everything but seonghwa.

and he hated that ⸺ the idea of not having eyes and ears on him at all times, which leads him to act out in ridiculous ways. and, in the end, he got what he wanted ⸺ miro finally talking to him after a long 30 minute stretch of complete silence other than their breathing and the scratching of pen against paper. seonghwa leans his chin against the man's shoulder, turning his head so he could properly gaze at his features. "but, since you have finally acknowledged my existence, you might as well take a break and come out for lunch with me." he explains, finally pulling himself off of the man, straightening his form as he takes his phone out, scrolling through it while he hums lightly. "i was thinking we could go to this really nice barbecue restauraunt. i heard they made the best lamb ribs."

he pauses for a moment, already pulling up the aforementioned restauraunt so he could get the directions to put into his GPS. "oh." he looks over at miro and flashes a smile. "you're paying, of course."

That's  definitely  going  to  be  the  bathroom.   While  not  a  weird  place  for  someone  to  want  clean  and  tidy  ,  it's  more  of  the  way  they  go  about  doing  it  that  makes  it  more  of  them  being  weirdly  particular.   For  example  ,  cleaning  products  are  something  that  they  are  extremely  picky  about.  Nothing  too  chemically  smelling  ,  or  they  are  gonna  be  making  stink  faces  about  it  the  whole  time.   They  have  a  very  specific  idea  of  where  things  should  go  ,  and  they  absolutely  hate  it  when  they  can't  find  something  they  are  looking  for.   So  it's  easier  if  they  just  organize  it  themselves.

It's  also  a  place  they  just  want  CLEAN.   They  clean  the  bathroom  every  day  ,  and  when  I  say  clean  ,  think  taking  the  time  everyday  to  thoroughly  clean  every  surface  as  well  as  toilet  and  tub/shower.   It's  time  consuming  ,  but  something  they  are  willing  to  even  wake  up  early  in  order  to  get  it  done.   If  a  bathroom  is  too  dirty  ,  they  aren't  going  to  use  it  so  public  bathrooms  can  be  a  bit  of  a  challenge  for  them  to  overcome  when  the  situation  pops  up.   (they  have  gotten  better  at  that  part  though)   Since  getting  a  taste  of  what  a  prestine  bathroom  looks  and  feels  like  ,  they  won't  go  back  to  the  old  way.

They're  also  very  particular  about  what  air  fresheners  are  being  used  ,  and  when  they  like  a  scent  they  will  use  it  very  liberally.   So  they  tend  to  buy  those  in  bulk  when  they  do  find  a  favored  scent.
