When I tell you the insane traffic queues for vaccinations, along with the fact that if my hospital is in any way reflective of what’s happening in other hospitals around the U.K., we finally seem to be over the worst of this peak... it got me a bit emotional.
Thanks lads, it’s nice to see the public doing what they need to and seeing the direct effect on the numbers of people getting sick and admitted to hospital with Covid. The entire world faced the same crisis at the same time and it was a race against time dealing with the unknown-requiring global information collaboration- and a lot of trial and error with the whole world looking on.
It feels like we’re on the final stretch, and I’d like to hope we’re able to better cope with any further Covid-19 related challenges, as well as anything similar in the future.
For now though: Get vaccinated as soon as you can. Encourage others. Get free.
We’re living in the ‘Heroes’ universe it literally feels like “save the cheerleader, save the world” out here.
