I saw in the tags of that job hunting post that you said you couldn't get a job in your field. Do you mind if I ask what your field is or was?

Basically museums and the wider Heritage Sector. For example, there were something like 500 applicants for one (1) shittily-paid post in London that wouldn't have covered my living and transport costs if I'd got it anyway. I was working freelance as a restorer for an antiques guy a while back, but it was really stressful and unpleasant.

Hence, Monsterfuckery.

Apparently binders are being sold online with keywords like ‘lesbian’ and ‘tomboy’ instead of transgender. Does anyone else find that a bit weird? Is it a censorship thing? It’s probably not going to help with the idea that all transmascs are just lesbians with self hatred, or GNC girls. And the idea that it will help minors who need to ask their parents to get them one won’t wash for too long, their parents will find out and probably get hold of some worried article about binding before too long. Especially if they live in the UK where the ‘binding is torture, transgender is self hatred’ message is being shouted out loud and clear for people with teenage children to pick up.

with living in england its basically down to the fact, where will i end up in an hour.. England and hiura tra el i could be in spain or Paris, where as NY it seems to have a larger area to cover. England is very spoilt to the many places they can travel to at a close range, hence why they wouldnt travel to Aus as they could fit 4 countries into the space of time it would take to get to aus.

But Australia is so great! I was glad that while living in Singapore I got to go there twice. From Singapore we tended to think of flights very differently. I would say it was “only” an eight hour flight to Sydney because getting home to the US took anywhere from 18-30 hours depending on route. You are very lucky indeed to live so close to genuinely different cultures.
