It’s less then a week until we can open our doors to the public again! If you didn’t know already the last 3 years we’ve been focusing on just wedding & event flowers but from Monday 12th April we’ll be doing flowers for all occasions as well as stocking dried flowers, indoor plants and out door plants as well as some gift bits! Our opening times are stated on our website as well as google so you know when we’ll be open so you can pop in store. Wedding consultations are by appointment only, I want to give every wedding couple the full attention they deserve which can’t be given when other customers need to be served so always arrange a meeting with us by phone/ email to arrange a time convenient for us and you! This year due to covid I’ve had the pleasure of spending more time in my garden. I think what’s really amazing is that this bouquet of flowers are all grown in my garden most from seed (some perennial flowers too) and for me I just find that so special!! 3 of my favourites to grow from seed which I’d recommend to any gardeners are Cosmos, Amaranthus and Dahlias! When you grow Dahlias from seed it’s a bit of a surprise what the flowers will be (unless you grow from tuber cuttings or split the tubers and you know your then getting that variety of the same plant) but growing from seed means you could have two different parent plants so the flowers of the seeds from those two parent plants are a surprise and you won’t know the colour of them until they flower! The Dahlias in this bouquet were a surprise and gosh aren’t they a beautiful surprise? I couldn't be a florist, because the skill and talent required to produce such beautiful creations is beyond me. : I keep stalking numerous florists, including @tuckshopflowers. She lives literally 10 mins from me, and I keep kicking myself for not doing more work with/for her.
