Eyebright (Euphrasia officinalis)

Eyebright is astringent, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory and can be used to treat conjunctivitis. It's also helpful for runny noses and brilliant as an extract in an eye cream.

Spotted in the Valley of Rocks in Lynton in August. First time I’ve ever found eyebright!

Horsetail (Equisetum arvense)

This is a young horsetail, it can grow up to 80cm. It has a high silica content, making it great for skin, hair, nails, bones and joints. It is astringent, diuretic and can help stop bleeding.

Spotted in Branscombe, Devon in August.
