The one I genuinely find disgusting among Russian musicians is Radio Tapok. Right before the war, he even gave a concert in Ukraine and wrapped himself in Ukrainian flags. His tour was interrupted exactly when the war was announced. And then he went on to release a patriotic album. Before that, he mostly did covers of famous rock bands and even collaborated with Sabaton. I just hate people like that—sellouts who perform for people whose killings they later support. What I hate the most is that my brother used to be a fan of Radio Tapok.
To be fair, I haven't been disappointed in russian musicians in a while. The way they behave is completely expected for me.
It is expectedly disgusting.
The whole music industry in russia is a government sellout. Otherwise they are abroad, mostly trying and failing to be good russians (aka attempting not to show their imperialism and chauvinism).
I recommend Grandma's Smuzi instead:) They make great covers!
I never really listened to a lot of russian music. The closest was a Ukrainian one named Flëur, a duet from Odesa that sang in russian. They've split up long ago, and I can't listen to anything in russian, anyways.
Though there are western bands and singers I had to erase from my playlist, unfortunately:( some triggered me with their inconsistent/unfixed/suspicious position and some turned out to be openly pro-russian and, therefore, completely disgusting to me.
