Still absolutely reeling from this... If you'd told me in 2012 when I started doing Pteroglyph that not only had Sikth got back together but I'd be supporting them then I would've kindly told you to insert ones man truncheon into ones own derrière. To say I am excited is possibly the biggest understatement possible. When I got it confirmed the other day and I was allowed to announce it (because it's actually real and not a made up fantasy) I was literally bouncing off the walls. Sikth have been one of the most significant influences in my musical life. Right back when they released the first album they blew my mind and totally changed my perspective on music and specifically my guitar playing. When I was 18, I used to be a (terrible) postman and would walk my route and listen to that first album on repeat all week. I've even met them a handful of times and had the greatest fortune of recording an EP with Justin Hill. So to say I'm a fanboy is also a massive understatement. This has basically come along at the perfect time where it's a kickstart for the album release and we're working on a brand new live set so it's the most awesome blessing and childhood dream come to life and I CANNOT WAIT. Ultra special thanks to Kate Prothero for being amazing and making it happen and to Mikey Shiraz for getting us on! (We won't let you down!) Also The Colour Line are playing who are incredibly awesome too?! Seriously. Fantastic line up. Come to this and buy your tickets to this show ASAP because it will sell out dead quick!
