oddly charitable.

Kim Mingyu was not the type of man that would hand out his spare change to those in need, despite the fortune that he’d inherited several years ago. Although it may make him sound like a terrible person, he wasn’t exactly. Obviously, he wasn’t a good person either, and while he had little regard for other’s lives and wellbeing, he still wasn’t the absolute worst of the worst. There continued to be a heart beating within his chest, and while he tried to make it come across like it’s all but disappeared, it was still very much so still there, as well as actively trying to make him go out of his own way to help other people when the situation arises. You certainly won’t see him donating to charities or giving large sums of money to those who had very little, being that in his eyes, the world was so messed up that he wasn’t going to be able to fix it much anyways, but you might catch him in the act of displaying smaller gestures of kindness. He wasn’t immediately cold in nature, so it wasn’t odd for him, per se, but it also wasn’t something that came all that naturally to him.
Being that he held Vanguard and all of its members much higher than anything and anyone else, it made it even less strange that the person in need was a fellow gang member of his. If he witnessed a stranger struggling to scrape up what they needed to make their purchase, chances are, he would have ignored it. This was slightly different, though, and he felt especially inclined to help the familiar face out. While they weren’t actually close, nor could he consider the other male much more than an acquaintance with more importance than those he wasn’t affiliated with, he still didn’t see the harm in lending a hand— or in this case, a wallet. After stepping up and silently sliding over a little more than the asking price of the items the other attempted to buy, he looked down at the shorter. Or, ‘Clutch’ as he’d heard him be referred to before. “There. That should cover it.”
