2Bop Launches First Women's Collection
One of our favorite South African brands, 2Bop, recently announced and went live with their first women's collection - in hues of pink, mint and indigo, the collection is the perfect fusion of menswear meets ladies who love streetwear. The release is made up of a shirt dress, varsity jacket, chore jackets, a pair of pink wide legged pants, a skirt and a banging pair of dungarees.

C&W history lesson time! 2Bop was founded in 2004 by Anthony Smith. The brand is inspired by the arcade games of the 80s and 90s as well as (initially) the DIY ethos of skateboarding culture. Smith started by printing a small run of t-shirts and selling them to his friends and a local skate shop. 2Bop has been growing strong ever since. This first women's collection was the brainchild of designer Ulfah Davids - after interning for 3 months, Smith took her on permanently. In this interview with Design Indaba, Davids says the brand wasn't even thinking about doing a women's line before she pitched it and her design skills sealed the deal.
According to Davids, there won't be another 2Bop women's release for quite some time so we would definitely snatch up one (or two...or three) of these pieces pretty fast.
