answering you via mssg because this was too long: there's no question that marion is totally capable of bringing this woman to life, and i thank god/justin kurzel that marion got casted instead of natalie, but the french accent is troubling me.. i just can't imagine a french lady m! also they said that they expanded the battle scenes and "what must have been war to one of shakespeare's most compelling characters" aren't they missing the point? sorry if im annoying/feel free to ignore me
that was my immediate concern about marion as well ~~ mainly because judi stands so clear as lady m for me and she’s ~*~very~’~ not french. but historically, it is super plausible that someone like macbeth could have been married to a frenchwoman because of the strong ties between scotland and france. but yES the battle scenes worry me as well – and also fass’s take on macbeth, that he has ptsd, sort of goes against what i’ve been taught in school which irks me slightly like macbeth is a tragic hero who has tragic flaws pls don’t make macbeth relatable and moderen it’s a shakespearean trAGEDY ffs.
(you’re totally not annoying btw this film is like my 2k15 highlight discussing it is one of my fav things to do lmao)
