I found this spider on our porch. Probably the picture is not enough for an ID (the spider was shy and refused to show its back), but it was in Hungary. Hope you enjoy meeting with this spider as much as I did, it's a lovely creature.

Hello! What a nice lady! She looks to me like a hackled orbweaver in the family Uloboridae. Likely Walckenaer's feather-legged spider, Uloborus walckenaerius.

The triangle weaver spider (Hyptiotes cavatus) holding its web in tension. The ability to store and amplify muscular energy in external devices like bows and catapults was thought to be unique to humans, but a University of Akron study published this month describes how the spider winds up its web and launches itself at prey.
