I keep thinking about that one post from here that talks about Richtofen and Dempsey's power dynamic. I can't even find the post to reference from. 🥀

Richtofen, lusting for power, significance and control. Always barking orders to fuel his ego. Dempsey, always obeying orders, sticking to protocol. All for the sake of being the good soldier.

God. These two are gonna make me throw up.

I want to make a fic with Ult!Dempsey and Ult!Richtofen (it'd be my first one). I don't want it to be a "falling in love" or a "hates#x" type of scenario either, though. I want the feeling of it to be..... Tender? But keeping it a little more realistic (and maybe a bit bittersweet at the end).

I like the thought of Richtofen tending Dempsey's wounds after an ambush of zombies, and having a bit of a quiet moment and a bit of mixed feelings spiraling up, if that makes sense. I know that Ultimis is supposed to be more on the silly and stereotypical side, but they've proven to have their serious moments too, y'know?

Whether the fic is interpreted as romantic or non-romantic, it doesn't matter. I want to leave that up to the reader.
