💫 Thinking about Der Eisendrache.✨

✨ Richtofen runs out of ammo and panics. With no resources at all, he decides to grab some snow off the ground and throw snowballs at the zombies on his tail.

✨ He lands a few, and then misses one and hits Nikolai square in the jaw. Nikolai sneers at him and shoots the zombie for him, then walks away before Richtofen can explain.

✨ The next time this happens, Richtofen accidentally hits Dempsey, who’s looking at something and pondering what it is. Dempsey looks to Richtofen, who holds his hands up and shouts a small “Sorry!”

✨ Unlike Nikolai, Dempsey actually sees the humor in it once he realises it wasn’t intentional. It actually puts him in a playful mood, and Takeo is the next person to get a snowball to the head.

✨ Dempsey laughs as Takeo shivers and scrambles to pat himself down. Takeo tells him: “We must not lose focus, Dempsey, the undead aren’t as forgiving as we are.”

✨ Dempsey waves him off, asking him if he’s ever had a snowball fight. Takeo says he hasn’t, and then the pair get to plotting.

✨ Richtofen is inside the castle, bickering with Nikolai over how best to train the zombies coming after them. They both have very different ideas of an efficient train, but they do eventually work together. Leaving the castle for a moment to head to the mystery box, Nikolai says to him: “This is why you leave zombie killing to me, or to team! We kill the hell-pigs, you get us out of here. Instead of picking snowball figh-“

✨ A snowball from Takeo cuts him off, and Nikolai immediately whirls around to Takeo’s direction, wiping at his face.

✨ Before Richtofen can laugh, he faintly catches: “Incomin’, Doc!” And suddenly the left side of his face is numb from a sudden freeze.

✨ He takes a moment to register what just happened, but finds himself laughing- This might be the first time that Richtofen has genuinely laughed during this whole ordeal. “Nice shot, Dempsey, I admit it!”

✨ As they’re fighting the undead, they each find the time to throw snowballs at each other too, or sometimes they work together to throw snowballs at the zombies, slowing them down.

✨ Coming to the end of their time in Der Eisendrache, Richtofen feels his heart crack as he has to put an end to the snowball fight. Any good rapport is immediately suffocated when he reveals what he has to do- What Dempsey ends up doing.

✨ Through rough patches with the crew, he often thinks of that snowball fight.
